The Power of Simple Practices Mel Robins said it in her recent podcast which supports the launch of her new book 'Let Them'. Simple practices like Box Breathing are tools that can effectively help you get back in control mentally. Most importantly, physiologically, they dramatically reduce the impact of a nervous system in crisis, which in turn has serious knock on effect on other critical systems such as hormonal and digestive, leading and exacerbating the multiple threads running havoc through your mind when feeling at risk. Like all simple breathing and mindfulness practices, it is easy to teach, but harder to benefit because the benefits mainly rest on consistent practice, accumulated over time, which in turn you are more likely to do if you know how beneficial they really are. Speech is obviously a huge part of teaching yoga. And it is even more vital in our close relationships. Since I started learning Nonviolent Communication 26 years ago, my inner conversations with myself, as well as my conversations with my family, friends and students, have radically changed. In the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali the author exhorts us to speak the truth. But what does that actually sound like? Hello Everyone! After 3 years in business, I'm happy to announce that my wellness practice has shifted its focus towards consulting and training services for groups and organizations. I'm grateful for the meaningful client relationships I have made to-date, and I'm committed to continuing our important work together - thank you for your ongoing trust, loyalty and support. While I will still offer one-to-one mindfulness sessions and Reiki treatments on an ad hoc basis, I see an opportunity to help more people, and have streamlined my practice to reflect my new vision. Our journey with Saje Natural Wellness and the 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘕𝘰𝘸 podcast JAR’s first project. We weren't just pitching them a podcast idea - we were nudging them towards a whole new way of connecting with their audience. Saje already had a solid brand and loyal followers, but we saw an opportunity to dig deeper. We wanted to move beyond the usual brand talk and tap into the real stories that mattered to their community. Working with the Saje team, we uncovered these authentic stories - ones that really captured their wellness mission and spoke to everyday people about what it means to be well, and how that meaning is different for each one of us.. 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘕𝘰𝘸 became more than just branded content. It turned into this genuine conversation about wellness that hit home for a lot of listeners. To get the word out, we got creative. We put together custom listening packages for influencers - kind of like a wellness gift for their ears. And for visitors Saje stores, we set up listening stations. It was an engaging way to turn a quick shop into a chance to discover the podcast and feel even more connected to the brand. The response was huge. 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘕𝘰𝘸 didn't just do well - it shot to #1 in Health & Fitness on Apple Podcasts, even outpacing Oprah's podcast. Yeah, that Oprah (she had it coming)! But this isn't just about one successful podcast. It shows what can happen when you really lean into storytelling. It’s always best to step back and let the stories do the talking and let the brand take a back seat. Hats off to Saje for taking this leap with us. They saw that connecting with people isn't always about pushing your brand - it's about sharing stories that matter first.
