Have you got an awards strategy? Most companies I know are very reactive when applying for awards within their industry. They are good to have, but companies do not consider them until someone approaches them to submit for a particular award. If they are lucky, they do end up winning that award. But most of the time, the submission does not result in a win. But the fact is that most companies do have great stories that can be used to win these awards. Are you looking to identify the fantastic stories that your business has that can be used to win awards? Reach out to me, and let's find those fantastic stories you can put forward for award nominations. Let's prepare your awards strategy. https://lnkd.in/gvKUWKTv

Hey NAFSAns! Now is the time to recognize your wonderful colleagues by nominating them for a NAFSA award by 2/1/24. Don't underestimate the power of recognition and representation. 🏆 🌟 www.nafsa.org/awards Here's a passage from one of my favorite books, Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman: "Cultivate instantaneous generosity ... Whenever a generous impulse arises in your mind - to give money, check in on a friend, send an email praising someone's work - act on the impulse right away ... When we fail to act on such urges, it's rarely out of mean-spiritedness, or because we have second thoughts about whether the prospective recipient deserves it. More often, it's because of some attitude stemming from our efforts to feel in control of our time. We tell ourselves we'll turn to it when our urgent work is out of the way, or when we have enough spare time to do it really well ... But the only [efforts] that count are the ones you actually get around to making ... generous action reliably makes you feel much happier." This is one of my 2024 intentions overall. Nominating a colleague for an award is a great way to start the year! www.nafsa.org/awards
