Starting Women's HERSTORY Month with a moment of vulnerability ---- personal growth can be tricky and is most definitely not linear. In today's interconnected world, personal growth extends beyond my achievements to encompass vital skills, such as interpersonal communication, diversity and inclusion, and building trust. Embarking on this journey of self-discovery and development has not only enhanced my professional aptitude but also helped to foster a deeper connectedness with others and grow my community while also supporting others in finding their community and developing a sense of belonging. By honing interpersonal communication skills, I've learned to navigate complex interactions with empathy and clarity, fostering understanding and cooperation. Embracing diversity and inclusion has helped me to cultivate environments where every voice is valued thus enriching perspectives and fostering innovation. Building trust can be a journey all on its own and is the bedrock of all meaningful relationships. I have witnessed that with trust comes confidence and reliability in both personal and professional spheres. I'm dedicated to navigating this year with authenticity, empathy, and integrity. Let's learn together! #LinkedInLearning #lifelonglearning #lifelonglearner

I just wrapped up an incredible webinar today led by the Paula Edgar, Esq., all about "Building a Strong Women's Initiative." As a leader of Lawline's Minority Employee Resource Group (MERG), it really got me thinking about the power of intersectionality and the importance of celebrating the incredible individuals in our circle through storytelling and genuine connections. I want to share with you my top 2 takeaways from the webinar—insights that I believe can make a real difference in how we can make an impact in our work and in our community: 1. Talk About What We're Doing - Everywhere! 🗣 Communication is KEY inside and outside our virtual walls. It's about shining a light on our initiatives, sharing our stories, and letting the world know the steps we're taking to create an culture of belonging. 2. Never Stop Learning! 📚 This is personal reminder to myself of the importance of continuous professional development and feeling empowered. Staying engaged with webinars like Paula's keeps me informed about the latest trends and best practices in creating inclusive work cultures. Reflecting on today's learning, I'm more excited than ever to put these insights into action. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these takeaways or any experiences you've had with creating inclusive spaces. Let's keep the conversation going and learn from each other.

One of the best ways to see our DEI content brought to life and consider whether it would work for your organisation is to join us at one of our free workshop taster sessions - we've just released the schedule for the second half of 2024. We've curated an interesting program of events pulling on both our newly launched content alongside our most popular courses. I'm particularly excited by our new Inclusive Behaviors, Personal Values vs Professional Responsibilities and the panel discussion on the Future of Inclusion. And our fun gamified Escape Rooms are ever popular and an experience not to be missed! If you're interested in finding out more about how our sessions run then please register below. 💡Inclusive Behaviors 💡Accelerate Women 💡Inclusion Escape Room 💡Generational Diversity 💡The Inclusive Manager 💡Fundamentals of Working Across Cultures 💡Neurodiversity 💡Respect & Integrity 💡Personal Values vs Professional Responsibilities 💡Psychological Safety Escape Room 💡Ask the Panel - The Future of Inclusion If you can't wait and want more information about any of the above - drop me a note! #dei hashtag #diversity hashtag #inclusion hashtag #inclusivebehavior hashtag #inclusiveworkplace

Happy International Woman’s Day from the Bitpool ladies Malak Othman & Natasha Sisanto! What a way to kick start the day by being inspired, listening to experiences and advice by some incredible women in the STEM space by Women In Technology (WIT). Whilst we as a society have come a long way in recognising the contributions and value women hold in the workforce we still have a way to go, today highlighted the need for us to find the confidence to say no, or to simply ask the questions to eachother about what an ideal workplace looks like for each individual, man or woman. To inspire and lead by example of what really matters today. I encourage anyone, man or woman, to start the conversation in the workplace about how your workplace can support you to get the greatest output, whether that be a mentor program or a flexible working scheme, a pay increase to cover the cost of living etc. If COVID taught us anything, we are an adaptable race, don’t settle.

March is coming to a close this week and so is Women's History Month. There have been many wonderful LinkedIn posts focused on women with information sharing. Here are some key takeaways for me. - It is important for women to thrive in critical elements of well being - physical, social, community, financial, and most of all purpose. - Have strong emotional support systems. - Continue to be mindful of physical wellbeing. - Be motivated to achieve personal and professional goals. - Be effective at managing economic life and increase financial security. - Be engaged in the workplace and invest in experiential learning opportunities. I encourage everyone to lookout for each other since it is the right thing to do. A virtual meeting with someone they have not heard from in a while may make someone's day!

Supporting CEO's and Leadership teams to build successful inclusive businesses I Podcast Host - A Dog Called Diversity I
Ahhh low hanging fruit 🍇 (Does anyone else think of grapes hanging down? Did I just make you hungry?) Anyone working in a business will fully understand the term "low-hanging fruit". It's basically doing the easy things first so you can show you have achieved something. Made progress. Are worth the salary you are being paid 😉 It's a good strategy though. It helps us work out if we are working on the right things. It can be a more efficient way of using time and money. It can build momentum for future, more challenging work, and it builds trust that you can do the work that's required. This is exactly what happens in diversity, equity and inclusion work. We start with low-hanging fruit often in the form of education and awareness. These take the form of events such as International Women's Day, Pride Month and Neurodiversity Celebration week are just a few examples, as well as training on topics like unconcious bias and psychological safety. Nothing wrong with starting with education and awareness. The challenge is that you need more than this to really make change happen. But what should you do next if you want to build a culture of inclusion and belonging? Join my free Masterclass on 1 May to learn the building blocks of an inclusive culture https://lnkd.in/gJ3B_VrG _______________________________________________________________ At The Culture Ministry we create inclusive, accessible environments so that people and businesses can thrive. Combining a big picture, balanced approach with real-world experience, we help organisations understand their diversity and inclusion shortcomings – and identify practical, measurable actions to move them forward.

On September 11th, I had the opportunity to attend a thought-provoking webinar titled "ID Talks: Inclusion and Partnerships," thanks to Salto Inclusion & Diversity, where key topics such as full participation, social justice, and the need to sustainably support communities were discussed. One concept that resonated deeply with me was the idea of an "ecology of inclusion," emphasizing that no struggle is single-issue and highlighting the importance of celebrating cooperation and teamwork. 🌍🤝 I want to extend my gratitude to Morgaine Green for her insightful perspective and for sharing her vision of how we can collectively foster inclusion and sustainability in our communities. Her words were truly inspiring and left me with much to reflect on. This session made me reflect on my professional journey in human rights and international cooperation. I’ve seen firsthand how collaborative work and constant adaptation are crucial to driving positive change in our communities. I'm excited to keep growing in this field, now more committed than ever to the idea that it’s not just about "having all the answers," but about learning along the way and finding collective solutions for a more just and equitable world.
