Update $ATNM Support looks very strong in this zone (see chart). Consider this a loading/bounce zone. Although we have struggled holding over $8, the good news is that the $7.80 range appears to be holding support. Preferably would like to see this trading above $7.90, but the consolidation at different levels has been healthy. Monitor: US BSL CLO New Issue Arb Trend Since 2017 The median arbitrage metric YTD at 195 bps is actually lower than in both 2022 and 2023, but this year’s new issue volume has already far exceeded the past two years’ volume on an annualized basis. Similarly, 2018-vintage deals had the lowest median arbitrage metric at 191 bps, but 2018 was a record-breaking year for new issue #CLO volume at the time. On the other hand, 2020-vintage deals had the best median arbitrage metric at 243 bps, but their new issue volume was the lowest. It's encouraging to see iCERT- The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies and other organizations advocating for the use of FCC Spectrum Auction revenues to fully fund Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). With the evolving landscape of emergency communications and the advent of new technologies, this might be the perfect time to reassess what aspects of NG9-1-1 require funding. Since the initial proposal to Congress, there have been significant advancements in technology and progress in the rollout of NG9-1-1 across the country. A new, comprehensive study could be invaluable in determining the most effective use of potential federal funding to realize the original vision of NG9-1-1 and bring our nation's emergency communication systems to the forefront of innovation and efficiency.
