Job seekers here we go again! An opportunity?? 🤔 Am a fan of newspapers and specifically the Standard Media Group LLC newspaper Wednesday's circular with the Enterprise Magazine, I love entrepreneurship ask University of Eldoret they know my story. The photo below was taken on page 8 of the standard newspaper (9th Oct 24 circular), and like the government they were trying to get jobs to the youths. Something is wrong with the advert lets break it down: 1. "A regulated Non-Withdrawable Deposit Taking Sacco seeks..." - Whats the name of the Sacco? Non-Withdrawable Deposit Taking? 2. Delivery address: "P.O. Box 49990 - 00100" just a quick search on google shows tonnes of job applications going to the same postal address. The question is, how many citizens have come across the advert and will be submitting their resume before 23rd. To make it more interesting, they will be an interview in a well structured office. The questions remain, Standard Media Group LLC Who verified the advert before being posted? Posta Kenya whos address is this? Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) whats the name of this sacco? All the best for the guys looking for a job, but don't be so desperate and naive to fall for this. real eyes realize real lies #mazingiraday

From Campus Dreams to Concrete Jungles: Navigating the Sales Realm 🏢🚀 Stepping into the bustling world of employment at the tender age of twenty, fresh from my ND exams, marked the beginning of an unexpected journey. Disappointed by the flop of my ambitious magazine launch on campus, destiny pushed me onto a Lagos-bound bus right from the exam hall. Little did I know that this detour would lead me to an unconventional job opportunity and launch my career in sales and marketing. Landing in the concrete jungles of Marina, Lagos, my futile attempts at securing a job in a bank led me to an unexpected turn around Magodo. On a mission to cut transportation costs, I stumbled upon a signboard that read, "Marketer Needed." With a swaggacious step, I entered the office, met a friendly young man, who, after admiring my shirt and outlook, offered me a position as a sales/marketer for a cleaning firm. What transpired in those early days taught me invaluable lessons in approaching clients confidently and mastering leads management and accumulation. My success was intricately tied to directly marketing to my target audience, the residents of Magodo, and effectively managing my leads. These experiences laid the foundation for my journey in sales. In an upcoming post, I'll be sharing insights on how leads accumulation and management can become your secret weapon in conquering your first-quarter sales objectives and goals. Stay tuned for a dive into practical strategies that can elevate your sales game and turn targets into triumphs. Let's make this quarter your best one yet! 🚀💼 #SalesJourney #CareerBeginnings #SalesStrategies"** Call me 07035269532

Sales and Marketing Executive//Speaker//SDG Advocate//Idea Catalyst//Thought Leadership//Grassroots Development//Nation Builder//
Seven years ago, I was shortlisted by PZ for a regional sales job, then I was in Kafanchan, Kaduna State and the interview was to be in Lagos the next day. I took the risk and went for the interview; on getting there, we were to go through 3 or 4 processes depending on how we passed the preceding test. Just before the first test, the manager in charge of recruitment offered us a plain check, "if anyone here can stand up and tell me why you are the best candidate for the Job and why we should employ you, I will give you the Job" I wanted to stand up, but I was so timid I couldn't stand up, and I didn't know how best to convince the man. So, I watch on as others try to impress the man. The man was not impressed with the answers, so we proceeded to the written examination. Score 50 marks, and you are qualified for the next process; lo and behold, I got 49, and that was how my dream of working with PZ ended. I learned some valid lessons from that trip 1. Confidence is a must in the marketplace. If you are too shy just stay at home. To operate at the highest level of life confidence is a must. 2. Sacrifice doesn't guarantee results, yet there are no results without sacrifice. Then, I thought God would look at the risk and resources spent and just give me the Job. 3. Preparation is a must. Before that time, I had never read or attempted any GMAT or SAT questions and that was what we were given. The chances of life are only claimed by the people prepared for those chances. 4. You are not the best in anything until you have proven yourself. Best is not by claims it is by the result. Never be afraid to apply for a Job anywhere, don't give up on places just because it is hard to get. You don't know how far God can come through for you. May you all get your dream Jobs!

MY FIRST JOB. My first job was a valuable learning experience that taught me many skills and exposed me to various aspects of business and customer service. I worked as a sales girl and front desk receptionist for a shoe brand in Akwa Ibom, earning a monthly salary of 12,000 naira. This was in 2020, immediately after the lockdown, when I was still in tertiary institution and the strike had just begun. I took on this role to stay busy and earn an income while waiting for the strike to end. Although the first month was challenging as it was my first time working under someone, I eventually gained confidence and understanding of my role. I acquired essential skills in - Sales strategies - Customer relationship management(CRM) - Business strategies - Social media usage - Calculating sales and profits. Additionally, I developed valuable skills in crisis management. I worked there for about six months, and after the strike was called off, I resigned and resumed my studies. It was a beautiful experience that exposed me to many things, taught me how to interact with people, and helped me develop valuable skills that I still cherish today. Despite the initial challenges, I learned to navigate my role and gained a deeper understanding of the business world. This experience has had a lasting impact on my personal and professional growth. Ps: That's a photo of me at my first work office. #Becomebetterwithphebe #31Dayswritingchallenge #Globalwriter #ghostwriter #myfirstjobever #firstexperience #crm #businessstrategy
