🚧 Preliminary HEC-RAS 2025 Demonstration 🌊 Excited to share some early insights from the preliminary HEC-RAS 2025 modeling of Biltmore Village and the French Broad River in Asheville, NC during Hurricane Helene. This demonstration includes: Video coverage from AccuWeather and The Washington Post USGS gage data compared with modeled depth results It's important to note that HEC-RAS 2025 is still in alpha release, and as specified in the FAQ, it should not be used for formal studies or production work at this stage. That said, the initial results are promising and highlight the potential for future applications once it's officially released. #HECRAS2025 #HydraulicModeling #WaterResources #FloodModeling #Asheville #FrenchBroadRiver #USGS #AccuWeather #TheWashingtonPost

You can read our latest work about film cooling modeling in the link down below!
Aeronautical Engineer | Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher | PhD TU Berlin | Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE)
Hello everyone I am happy to share that our paper on "Film Cooling Modeling in a Turbine working under the Unsteady Exhaust Flow of Pulsed Detonation Combustor" has been published in Energies journal which provides a novel approach of integrating film cooling in the unsteady 1D Euler Turbine solver and its validation with unsteady 3D CFD. A hearty thanks to all the co-authors Majid Asli, Teodosio Nacci, Daniela Misul, Simone Salvadori and Panagiotis Stathopoulos for their contribution to the model and the paper. The current activity was conducted within the framework of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network project named INSPIRE MSCA-ETN Project. https://lnkd.in/e7DfxadU

🚗Advancing Video Analysis Precision: Our latest research, published by #SAE, is contributing valuable knowledge that was previously missing from the video analysis literature. Cole Young, Thomas Flynn, MSc PEng, Ian Miller and Gunter Siegmund’s latest #researchpaper, "Uncertainty Introduced by Image Projection in Video-Based Reconstructions of Vehicle Positions and Speeds," used Monte Carlo analyses to explore how position and speed uncertainty varies for different camera and scene parameters in video-based #reconstruction work. 🌎This research was presented at the #SAE World Conference. https://ow.ly/q7PW50RZe0G
