📣 Yesterday, the London FP&A Board launched a new series of discussions, and this time, we focused on FP&A Business Partnering! I was delighted to meet 38 senior finance practitioners from organisations such as Bank of England, J&J, Barclays, Financial Times, State Street, NHS Professionals, Global Fashion Group, Walgreen Boots Alliance, Orange Business, Vattenfall and many others, who joined me in the beautiful St. James Clubhouse! ⚙️ According to the 2023 FP&A Trends Survey, 41% of organisations identify Business Partnering as their top priority skill. The demand for Business Partnering skills has doubled in the last few years. However, some organisations still struggle: companies either do not have it or their Business Partnering is disjointed. The participants of this meeting underscored that data, creativity, commerciality, communication and relationships were the most common challenges they faced. 💡 That is why London FP&A Board members discussed how to overcome these hurdles, create the best-in-class FP&A Business Partnering framework and the required attributes and skill sets. We also listened to insights on establishing effective Business Partnering shared by Harsh Amarasuriya, Global Head of FP&A at Clyde & Co. Thank you, Harsh!
