Coming to a cattle ranch near you 🇺🇸
Im fascinated by second order effects of technology.
Every now and again a company/technology comes along that not only changes how a job is done (farming), but changes how we use, and *value* the real estate adjacent to the job (farms)
Commercial property people: if you could buy a warehouse, roll out some specific new tech, and increase its yield 1.5-2x in a year or two, that would be pretty sweet, right?
Hear me out:
Step #1 = buy cattle ranch 🐮
Step #2 = roll out halter: increase carrying capacity of land (~50% more cows), while decreasing labor and overheads (e.g. fencing, maintenance).
Step #3 = profit! sell your newly higher yelling asset, or hold it for the long term and build a portfolio, roll up the neighbors.
Halter has officially expanded to the United States! 🇺🇸🐄
Our CEO, Craig Piggott, recently spoke with RFD-TV about how our virtual fencing technology is helping ranchers manage their land more efficiently, boosting productivity and profitability.
As Craig shared, “You don’t build technology because it’s fun – you build it because of the impact it can have on a family and someone’s life.” And we’re beyond excited to bring this impact to American ranchers.
Molly was supposed to follow up with me several weeks ago about my Tenstreet account, I’m still waiting on action or a resolution. Molly did add me as a connection but removed it within 24 hours after messaging me saying someone would call, no one ever called.
I am a current truck driver, yet helping their current customer basis didn’t/doesn’t seem important. I asked Tenstreet to remove my profile, because I’m tired of asking 9 million times to correct the issues.
The trucking industry needs to do better!
Yet, it’s about hiring new drivers into the industry while current truck drivers like myself are being ignored and our work history is being thrown to the wind. What do you thinks going to happen to new truck drivers who get treated like I do?
They will LEAVE!
The issue I had, was about a company I worked for in 2020, who was shut down last year by D.O.T Yet Tenstreet still continues to report false information that isn’t accurate or do anything to help facilitate a resolution.
Tenstreet is a one way system, any trucking company can report anything they want about a truck driver regardless of truth and Tenstreet will consider it true. That’s why so many truck drivers quit and don’t say a word, because some vindictive person in the office who has access to Tenstreet will post their own views or opinions and the driver can’t do anything about it.
Tenstreet claims they care, but has done nothing to show me they care. Funny how that works isn’t it? 🤣
It’s a shame people don’t care anymore and I have to make a public post to get some kind of reaction.
The truth is, truck drivers matter and we aren’t an object to a product or service.
Enough is enough!

🔧🚀 Big Moves in North Florida! 🔧🚀
Hey everyone, Justin here from Davis Industrial. I've been up here in North Florida, diving deep into the local scene, and I gotta say, it’s been quite the ride. We might be the new kids on the block here, but we’ve been around the block a few times in this industry. Here’s what’s happening:
👊 Set Ways vs. New Days: A lot of folks here stick to what they know—can’t blame them; if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? But here’s the thing—if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got. We’re here to show there’s a better way with some fresh solutions.
🛠️ Switching It Up with Superscrews: We’ve been talking to customers about giving Superscrews a go instead of the usual 140s or 190s. In the right application, it’s a game changer. We’re seeing some minds change and gears shift!
🔗 Real Fixes for Real Issues at a glass manufacturer: Ran into a snag with frequent belt failures, even right out the gate. Took a hard look and I figured out that the s-drive and pulley sizes were too small for the belt type. We switched up the belt types and, so far, it looks like we’ve nailed it. 🤞
We’re here to bring our expertise right to your doorstep, mixing decades of know-how with local needs. Thanks to everyone who’s welcomed us and to those who’ve taken the leap with our new ideas. Let’s keep those belts moving better than ever!

If you are interested in the final DOL fiduciary rule, here is a chance to get a conversational explanation from Brad Campbell & me. We will cover the new definition of a fiduciary recommendation & then cover the two exemptions for conflicted advice. The new rules have significant changes that will affect virtually all advisors and insurance agents.
Join Faegre Drinker’s Fred Reish and Bradford Campbell on May 16, 2024, for the latest webinar in the “Inside the Beltway” series!
As always, the duo will be covering developments in Washington, D.C., that directly impact the benefits industry. This time, their discussion will include the DOL’s final fiduciary regulation and exemptions in the Federal Register.
Want to attend but have a scheduling conflict? Register for the live event, and we’ll send you a recording shortly after the broadcast date.

Thanks for the insights @justicefunders. Acknowledging the stolen native lands we are on, is the beginning of the beginning of a processs to imagine pathways to repair and rejuvenation.
I think incoporating the payments to a Land Trust into overhead admin costs is an excellent idea and way to systematize and normalize the giving to land trusts in our work… as part of the beginning of the beginning.

In this recently published personal story, Tara Brown, Board Treasurer and former Executive Director of Hidden Leaf Foundation, shares how the ask to pay honor taxes (such as Shuumi) stirred her to consider the decades of impact her ancestors have had on this land in the Bay Area, the original land of the Ohlone people. “This part of my family lineage exploration has been about awkward truth-telling, finding our relatedness even in its discomfort, and remembering who we are and how we belong.” Read or listen to Tara Brown’s story below. Thank you for organizing us, Justice Funders!
