The Consarc Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) process overcomes many problems that have been historically associated with conventional VAR operations: strong magnetic fields in the electrode melt area that cause uncontrolled metal stirring, uneven solidification, and alloy segregation, as well as imprecise electrode positioning resulting in compromised ingot reproducibility and in the case of titanium, system safety. Consarc has developed and implemented solutions to all of these problems, solutions that have proven their worth through years of field use. 💡⚡Do you want to enhance the efficiency of your manufacturing? Are you involved in the power industry? If so, you're in luck. Thanks to Vacuum Arc Remelt (#VAR) Furnaces, increasing production is now possible. But that's not all! 🤔 Why is Vacuum Arc Remelting technology the best fit for the power industry? ☑ VAR remains an essential component in the supply chain for titanium ingots used in manufacturing components like vanes, blades, shrouds, and diffuser casings for the industrial gas turbine market. ☑ With precise control over solidification rates, VAR enables the fine-tuning of microstructures, reducing segregation and porosity, ensuring top-tier material integrity. ☑ Reactive metals like titanium thrive in the VAR processing environment, preventing interaction with gases, and ensuring optimal alloy quality. ☑ Retech VAR furnaces are utilized in the production of parts for power generating plants, where brackish, raw seawater, or highly chlorinated water serves as the cooling medium, and titanium alloys are employed for long-life and low-maintenance condenser tubing. 👀 Still Need Reasons? 📘 Check the technology from a market leader boasting over 60 years of expertise and an extensive customer base, from the #power industry: https://lnkd.in/dHrBcdcV 👉 Save this post for later and revisit it when you're seeking solutions #4Power. And remember: #Retech - Various Industries, Different Technologies, 1 Supplier 👌

We often get asked, "so, SwellFrac actually builds a plug inside perf tunnels"? Yes, yes it does! SwellFrac is a highly angular ground swelling elastomer offered in granular sizes ranging from 100 Mesh to 8MM. Once the SwellFrac slurry enters the perf tunnel and screens out, swelling begins, with PBU noted on the casing in a few hours based on BHT. Check out this example photo showcasing an 80/20 SF Coarse, SF Fine slurry with 1% by wt EIP Reactive Fibers for structural integrity. #frac #refrac #recompletion #pressurecontrol #zonalisolation #PnA #Engineering #innovation #EnergyStrong #SwellFrac

Brandon Bell, PM at Emerson, eloquently explains the impacts of cavitations on valve operation and how anti-cavitation components help reduce the flow impact. In this case, Emerson Cavitrol Hex is placed within the valve in such a way that it is very close to the entrance of the throttling area, limits the fluid momentum that causes the flow stream to contract. The result is a larger vena contracta flow area, reduced fluid velocity, and higher vena contract pressure, which suppresses the onset of cavitation. Another benefit is that it breaks a large single flow stream into many small parallel flow streams, reducing noise and vibration intensity. Preventing a large-scale flow structure from impinging on the valve body internal surfaces, or the downstream piping, is a benefit. simulationHub's Autonomous Valve CFD helps you simulate a complex trim design and validate the flow performance accurately, creating customer delight, avoiding valve and pipeline failures, and leading the building of a sustainable world. Flares may reach extremely high temperatures, causing most ultrasonic transducers to malfunction and making it impossible for them to take flow measurements. Fluenta’s solution to this is the FlarePhase 350. Fluenta’s FlarePhase 350 transducer, which is a part of our advanced FlarePhase series of transducers, is designed and optimized to measure flow in the most challenging of applications containing extreme temperatures. Being equipped with a new piezo-electric sensor made from advanced ceramics as well as extra heat shielding enables it to measure at extremely high temperatures of up to 350ºC for extended periods of time without compromising on accuracy or reliability. Being part of the FlarePhase series it also features continuous measurement optimisation and the “Active Phase Analysis Technology” which allows it to boast accuracies as high as ±0.75%. Electromagnetic stirring (EMS) uses a variable magnetic field to induce currents in the molten steel, generating a Lorentz force that propels the fluid into motion without direct contact. This motion can be rotational or linear dependent upon the type of stirrer used. Advantages of using EMS in both the mold and the strand include reduced breakout risk, decrease central segregation, expanded central equiaxed zone, and lower central porosity reduction. However, it is challenging to precisely determine the best location to place the stirrer, and the electric input parameters are difficult to calibrate to maximize the quality and output of the material. MAGMA CC allows you to optimize these parameters to achieve consistent, high-quality results from your EMS system. To learn more visit https://buff.ly/3UNUhjM #MAGMACC #MAGMASOFT
