“What is governance?” A question governance professionals often get asked, am I right?! CGI’s company compliance and administration text book, offers this definition: “Governance is the processes and procedures by which an organisation is directed and controlled and, in particular, the way that senior management and the board of directors are structured, exercise their authority, have transparent and accountable processes and interact with investors, employees and other stakeholders.” It’s a good one, comprehensive for sure.
