Just completed an amazing course on User Interface and Information Presentation! 🎉 From August 31 to September 29, 2024, I had the pleasure of participating in an online practical course called “User Interface and Information Presentation” offered by Bureau (Бюро Горбунова). The course covered valuable skills in designing intuitive user interfaces and effectively presenting information. A big thank to Bureau and especially to Ilya Birman for his inspiring guidance. #UserInterface #UXDesign #InformationDesign #ProfessionalDevelopment #Bureau

EDIT - OUR DELEGATION IS NOW FULL, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Hello Everyone Blind Burners is looking for active game devs who are interested to serve as guides for our delegation to the wonderful Develop: Brighton industry conference, July 9th-11th, with arrivals and departures on the 8th and 12th. We can provide 3-day passes to those who are happy to take part and recognise the value of this experience to all participants and to our industry as a whole. Testimonials from 2023’s guides and participants in the comments. For more information contact chris@blindburners.com directly and if you are interested please complete the registration form shared in this post. Working with the RNIB and other partners, we are assembling as a group of EIGHT passionate gamers from across the UK’s blind and low vision gaming communities. Our group includes folks working in art and accessibility, as well as new entrants interested in careers in narrative and engineering. We would love to include guides from a good cross-section of roles within the industry. Responsibilities include meeting delegates at train stations, navigating between different conference sessions, reading out visual content such as presentation slides, facilitating introductions and relaying key visual information such as who is in the room or in a group, and making the most of the evening networking sessions. The idea is to match each blind delegate with an active game developer who can help to navigate the event in accordance with their needs. We are looking to spark mutually rewarding professional connections across our group. Our delegates include folks with varying levels of blindness, from usable to no usable vision. Each person is different, and needs and preferences may vary from time to time. No prior experience of guiding is needed. Together with our friends at RNIB, we can offer training and encouragement. Accessibility is more than a set of prescriptive rules, it is something that we co-create, and an art in itself. Our guests will mostly arrive Monday and depart Friday, and we would appreciate anyone who can also be available on these days to welcome our delegates and give them a good farewell. THANK YOU! https://bit.ly/4bOW1ir

Love this session from Laïla Bougriâ at NDC Conferences #NDCOslo this year talking about the fine line between awesome and awful and how to stay on the right side of it. Distributed systems are becoming increasingly common in today's systems landscape, and messaging is often used to coordinate between components in these systems safely. With benefits like increased reliability, better performance, easy scalability, and easier decoupling of components, you might quickly think, "Shut up and take my money!". However, as with any architectural choice, the other side of the coin surfaces challenges and pitfalls that we must consider: structuring code to fully leverage messaging, dealing with duplicate messages, ordering issues, and diagnosing problems. To tackle these challenges, Laila explores different messaging communication patterns and when to use them, she shows how to effectively decouple code and consider techniques for system consistency. She also helps you prepare for any unexpected issues, because... Murphys Law. By the end of this session, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the messaging problem space and will be better equipped to make informed decisions about whether and how to incorporate messaging into your distributed systems. https://lnkd.in/gF5yki6F

Professional Emcee | Anchor | Presenter | TV Host Master of Ceremonies at Drashti Vajar #a_vision_in_voice
I generally don't promote Client Feedback on Gram. But this event was exceptional! Demonstrating my emcee abilities at this international event, while summarizing key points, presentations, and bridging gaps, despite lacking an engineering background, is a significant achievement. This video clip genuinely brings me joy regarding my professional endeavors. #AnchorDrashtiVajar #emcee #anchor #anchorforcorporateevents #reels #eventsinmumbai #eventfaqs #eventspediaindia #corporatemcee #corporateevents #conference #valveindustry #valveworldsummit #valveworldconference2024
