Today marked a special occasion as I had the privilege of giving a tour to our most discerning clients yet at the CTF Consoles factory in Dubai - none other than my own parents! Now, let me tell you, Oenone and George, or to give them their official titles, Mum and Dad, have high standards! Coming from backgrounds in law and medicine, they harboured aspirations for me to follow in their footsteps. Alas, I emerged as the proverbial black sheep, forsaking academia to move to Dubai and become a businessman at 20 years old as you do. Despite their initial skepticism and, dare I say, disappointment over my unorthodox choices, I take pride in the fact that they now understand why I moved to Dubai, what we do here at CTF: that we are building a great business, we make innovative quality products, and that our people are well taken care of. Now they understand what a Control/Security Room is (useful dinner party chat), that it requires specialist technical furniture, and that every building in the Middle East has a Control or Security Room, something most people don't know or never think about! His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “We have approved the master plan for the expansion of the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai, with an investment of Dh10 billion." Three key phases- Dubai Exhibition Centre's Phase 1, set for 2026, will expand to 140,000 square meters, doubling its current capacity to meet growing demand for large-scale venues. Phase 2 of the exhibition expansion, set to be completed by 2028, will increase the space to 160,000 square metres, while the final phase, set to be completed by 2031, will increase it to 180,000 square metres. Dubai's DEC, once expanded, will be 1.5 times larger than DICEC, hosting over 600 large-scale events annually by 2033, doubling the city's status as a leading international exhibition hub. #Dubaiproperties #Investments
