Early childhood educators say they’re seeing more children who struggle with speech, communication, and managing their emotions than in years past. More students also now struggle with classroom expectations.

What do you look for when you choose a preschool? Do you think of what type of preschool or how near it is to your home? What really strikes your mind when your kid needs to start preschool. Is it important to get your choice right? Isn't it a start of your kids life? More often than not parents don't spend much time thinking about their choice. I've listed out the few factors we often consider. Let's discuss the following. Safety and Security: A safe environment is a top priority. They will look at the school’s facilities, safety protocols, cleanliness, and how children are supervised. Teacher Qualifications and Experience: Parents want to know about the teachers' credentials, their experience in early childhood education, and their approach to discipline and teaching. Curriculum and Philosophy: Some parents may prefer specific educational philosophies (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia, play-based learning). The alignment of the preschool’s curriculum is key to their child’s needs. Proximity and Convenience: The location of the school, ease of commute, and the convenience of pick-up and drop-off times play a big role. Parent Involvement: Many parents appreciate schools where they can be involved in their child’s education, whether through PTA, school events, or community activities. Child’s Comfort and Happiness: Ultimately, parents will assess how happy and comfortable their child feels in the preschool environment. They want to know that their child is excited to go to school and is well cared for. #preschool #tadika #education #kindergarten #daycare

From finger-painted collages to singing nursery rhymes, arts and crafts are pivotal in early education. They fuel creativity, motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Daniel Mendoza highlights that play isn’t just fun—it's essential for learning. Kathryn Hirsh-Pasek and Cindy Hoisington emphasize that integrating play into education helps kids develop crucial skills and close achievement gaps. Play isn’t just for toddlers; it’s a foundation for lifelong learning and exploration. Embracing creativity and play helps children thrive beyond traditional academics. #EarlyEducation #ArtsInEducation #CreativeKids #ChildDevelopment

Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) | People Centric Leader l Preschool Consultant | IIMB NSRCEL 2023 | Reliance Foundation & Vital Voices 2024-25
💃🏻💃🏻 As I scrolled through a video captured at my preschool, a sweet moment caught my eye: three little girls were having a seemingly important conversation, speaking calmly and with great interest. 💕Their interaction was heartwarming, full of curiosity and innocence. However, behind them, on another bench, sat two other girls who were noticeably quiet. They weren’t speaking to each other or engaging in the same way, and it appeared as though they might be feeling socially anxious or unsure of how to have a conversation with one another. This scene, though common in classrooms, reflects a deeper challenge we as educators must address: social anxiety in young children. 👧Understanding Social Anxiety in Preschoolers Children, even at a young age, can experience social anxiety. For some, joining in conversations or group activities can be overwhelming. 👩🏫 As educators, we bear the responsibility to ensure that no child feels left out or overlooked. At EDuBrain Pre School, our approach is simple yet impactful: every child matters. Whether they are naturally outgoing or more reserved, our mission is to nurture their confidence and social skills through thoughtful engagement, empathy, and a warm, supportive atmosphere. ⏰ A Call to Action for Preschools It’s not just about academic learning; preschool is the first community that children become part of. Social skills learned here will stay with them for life, shaping how they view relationships and navigate social interactions in the future. 🙌🏻 So, let’s work together—schools, teachers, and parents alike—to ensure we’re providing a space where all children, regardless of personality type, can thrive. I’d love to hear your thoughts—how do you think schools can address social anxiety in young children? Feel free to share your experiences or strategies in the comments. #earlychildhoodeducation #socialanxiety #childdevelopment #classroomteaching #braindevelopment #teachers #schoolsoffuture

Empowering for life / Educator's and Parents' Coach | Motivational Speaker/ Coach /Trainer /Mentor /Preschool Consultant/ Co-founder/Founder/Spiritual realm explorer
“When will my child start coming to school with a smile?” Each year, parents come to me full of anxiety and doubts, asking the same question. As an educator, early years program expert and now a Parent Coach, I have seen firsthand how the start of a new preschool session can be overwhelming for both parents and children. Having guided countless families through this transition, I’ve learned some key steps that can help make the first days of preschool smoother and less stressful. Here’s what I recommend- 👉 Stay Calm and Positive Your attitude is incredibly influential. Stay positive and calm, even if your child seems upset or anxious. Your calm approach will help them feel more secure and confident about this new experience. 👉 Arrive Early On the first day, try to arrive at the preschool a little early. This extra time allows your child to settle in without feeling rushed. It’s a gentle way to introduce them to their new environment. 👉 Establish a Special Goodbye Routine Create a special and consistent goodbye routine. This could be a hug, a kiss, and a reassuring phrase like “I’ll be back to pick you up later.” Consistency in this routine helps your child know what to expect and feel reassured each day. 👉 Avoid Prolonged Goodbyes It’s natural for some children to experience separation anxiety, but prolonged goodbyes can make the transition harder. Trust the preschool staff to comfort your child and help them adjust. 👉 Talk to the Preschool Teacher Communication with your child’s preschool teacher is the key. Share your child’s interests, needs, and any specific concerns. This helps the teacher provide personalized support, making the transition smoother. Starting preschool is a big step, and it’s normal for both you and your child to have some anxieties. By following these steps, you can help your child start their preschool journey on a positive note. 😊 If you’re facing challenges with this transition, feel free to connect with me on DM. I’m here to support you and your child through this exciting new chapter. 🌟 #preschool #parenting #earlyyears #transition
