Sometime ago during an organizational event where we shared advocacy stories, I encountered a unique challenge. As I began my presentation, a power outage disrupted our session, leaving me unable to use my slides. Improvising with an elevator pitch approach, I realized a crucial lesson for all advocates: crafting a captivating, concise narrative with a clear call to action. Here are the essential components to incorporate into your pitch: 📌 Personal Connection Explain why the issue is significant to you personally. How has it impacted you? What drives your commitment to addressing it? 📌Hopeful Solution Describe the positive change your advocacy aims to achieve. What specific outcomes will result from implementing your solution? 📌Action Steps Share concrete actions you, your organization or initiative is taking to address the identified problem.
