How do you feel when you're put on the spot?
Last Saturday, we attended the annual Alsager Music Festival.
There's a mix of bands, solo artists and DJs spread across four areas in the local park
And plenty of pop-up food vendors, gift retailers and activities are always available.
Family fun at its best.
Anyway, halfway through the afternoon, a young man from BBC Radio Stoke approached us.
Well, me, because I was the closest!
He wanted to know if we'd be willing to chat to him about the festival
Tummy drop 💥
I cocked my head toward my partner, 'He will.'
But would he? Would he really appreciate me for nominating him?
My partner did chat into the mic, and then his daughter, and then her best friend
When the guy returned to me, I thought, 'Oh, go on then...'
It turns out that all three of us were included in the short audio extract on the radio the following Monday 🙌
Famous?
Not quite, but it was fun to hear ourselves, and the little one gained some street cred for being on the radio 👏
Sometimes, you must step out of your comfort zone, no matter how small.
There’s usually a positive waiting if you do 😀
