This marks the beginning of a season filled with the promise of exceptional wines and the beloved burčák. Founded in 1990, VÍNO BLATEL has established itself as a cornerstone of Czech winemaking. Nestled in the White Carpathians, the winery benefits from a unique terroir that imparts a distinctive character to its wines. The Solaris grape, known for its resilience and aromatic profile, thrives in the vineyards of Blatnice pod Svatým Antonínkem. Every great wine has a story. Discover how a little-known grape became the star of the Loire Valley. 🍇✨ The story of the Melon de Bourgogne is one of resilience, adaptation and unexpected triumph. Originally from Burgundy, this grape faced extinction in the early 1700s when the local aristocracy deemed it unworthy. But sometimes rejection can lead to incredible new beginnings. 🌱 A new home, a new beginning: The vineyards of the Loire Valley desperately needed a grape that could withstand the harsh climate after a devastating winter in 1709. Melon de Bourgogne, with its remarkable frost resistance, was introduced - and found its true home. 🍷 The birth of Muscadet: Today, Melon de Bourgogne is synonymous with Muscadet, the only wine in the world made exclusively from this grape. Light, crisp and rich in minerals, Muscadet is the perfect expression of the unique terroir of the Nantes region where it thrives. ✨ A wine that defines a region: What makes Muscadet so special? It's not just the grapes, but the journey they take to get to the glass. The traditional sur lie aging process adds depth and character to the wine, making it an outstanding choice for any wine lover. 🌍 Join the legend: In a world increasingly focused on terroir and sustainable wines, Muscadet offers something truly unique. Whether you're expanding your portfolio or looking for the next big thing in wine, Melon de Bourgogne is a name to know. 👍 Engage with Us: • Like if you appreciate wines with a rich history! • Comment below with your favorite Muscadet experience—let’s share stories. • Share this post to spread the word about this incredible wine. 💬 Interested in bringing the story of Melon de Bourgogne to your market? With a total area of around 9,500 hectares of vineyards 🍇, the Setúbal Peninsula's viticulture is the sum of many plots spread across 13 municipalities. This region is where one of Portugal's best-known wines is produced: Moscatel de Setúbal. 🍷 It is a large region with a Mediterranean climate ☀️🌊. The existence of vineyards on flat lands composed of sandy soils 🏖️ perfectly adapted to the production of quality grapes, as well as a more pronounced relief 🏔️, results in a wine production that is recognised everywhere. The most striking characteristics of the wines from the Setúbal Peninsula are the floral aromas in the whites 🌸 and the soft flavours of spices and wild berries in the reds 🌶️🍓. Its white wines go well with creamier dishes, with cheese-based sauce for example. A younger Moscatel pairs well with milk chocolate 🍫 or with aromas of orange and orange blossom 🍊. An older Moscatel pairs well with darker chocolate, as this will enhance the sweetness of the wine. 🥂 #moscatel #moscatelwine #portugalwine #winelover #whitewine #portugalwines #portuguesewine #foodandwine

Cabernet Sauvignon, though not native to Italy, has found a hospitable environment in several Italian regions, adapting well to the diverse climatic and soil conditions found across the country. Notably cultivated in Tuscany and Veneto, Italian Cabernet Sauvignon often blends seamlessly with local varieties like Sangiovese to create robust, complex wines. These wines typically exhibit a balance of Italy's characteristic acidity and ripe, bold flavors reminiscent of dark cherries, blackberries, and earthy undertones, often enhanced by aging in oak barrels. The adaptation of Cabernet Sauvignon in Italy showcases the country's ability to blend traditional winemaking practices with international grape varietals, producing distinctive wines that are appreciated both locally and globally. www.bestwineeducation.com #wine #education #training #hospitality #innovation #marketing #management #digitalmarketing #growth #career #change #fyi

The wines of Priorat, #Spain, are renowned for their bold, powerful character, deeply rooted in the region's rugged, terraced landscape. Located in Catalonia, Priorat has a rich history of winemaking that dates back to the 12th century, but it wasn't until the late 20th century that the region gained international acclaim. The unique terroir, characterized by its distinctive llicorella (slate) soils, low rainfall, and steep vineyards, creates intense, concentrated wines, predominantly made from Garnacha (Grenache) and Cariñena (Carignan). These wines are celebrated for their rich, dark fruit flavors, mineral undertones, and complex structure, often balanced by high alcohol and tannin levels. The region's rise to prominence has positioned it as one of Spain's most prestigious #wine appellations, producing highly sought-after wines that reflect the rugged beauty and complexity of Priorat's landscape. #wineeducation #winewednesday #learning #education #innovation #marketing #digitalmarketing #sommsite

Luxembourg - Who was there? Have you tried it? I am deeply impressed. I briefly visited the area during a quick trip that started at the source of the Moselle River in France and followed the river up to Koblenz where it meets the Rhine. I knew that there was wine cultivation in Luxembourg, but I was completely unaware of the quality, the beauty of the area, and the level of professionalism among the winemakers. We've written a little summary, so if you would like to read a bit about Luxembourg and its wine world, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/dvW3juYK Otherwise, a brief summary: - A little less than 1,300 hectares, most of it in AOC Moselle Luxembourgeoise along the Moselle River at the Luxembourg-German border - 90% white wine: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Auxerrois, Elbling. - Pinot Noir and Pinot Precoce (Frühburgunder) are "on the rise" Today, there are more than 350 commercial winemakers.

MODERN GERMAN WINES If you still think German wines are off dry or sweet, I can tell you that German wine has undergone a complete transformation. Now, young graduates from oenology schools are making completely dry wines. Dome are almost full bodied, others lighter. All this is the result of climate change, enabling them to create wines that are completely different than only 30, even twenty years ago. Domdechant Werner Estate in the Rheingau, and J J Prüm Estate in the Mosel, are making wines that taste noticeably fruitier and more approachable in their youth. The art of wine making’s appeal is strong enough to persuade young, well-travelled, well-educated people to adopt a physically demanding, outdoor profession in which they are pitted against a powerful, increasingly unpredictable force of nature. Grape farming and making wine is an art, a craft and now a science too. Younger generations of vintners not only routinely attend world famous wine schools but also intern at some of the world’s finest wine estates, where they soak up the latest practices of grape-growing and wine making. If there were a stylistic generalization to be made about the wines of the current generation vintners are following German consumer tastes and making drier wines. Sweetness in German wine is all too readily associated with the darkest days of the industry in the 1970s and early 1980s in the wake of the 1971 German Wine Law that promoted sweetness above all else, including quality. I remember tasting red Ahr wines in 1972 that very so pale that one could classify them as rose, now several wineries in this valley north of Bonn are producing spatburgunder (pinot noir) wines that can compete favourably with fine Burgundies. Burgundy is at least 300 kms. south of the Ahr Valley. All this can be linked to climate change.
