When you’ve been in an industry for 30 years, you either make a lot of friends or a lot of enemies. I’ve always had a knack for making friends. Instead of butting heads with partners and ISOs, I worked alongside them. While the underwriting department was busy finding reasons to say "no" to deals, I was hunting for ways to say "yes." One of the things I love about the insurance industry is the relationships!! The three of us pictured worked together at Newfront, pre-pandemic. We were the dream team! Amanda was a key part of the Strategic Growth Associate sales team (and other roles), I was a Strategic Growth Manager and Ashley was an incredible Onboarding Executive- we worked extremely close to execute our growth initiatives and man, were we good together!! 📈Since then we have all taken on different roles within the industry, Amanda is crushing the Sales Operations Side of the house for Newfront, Ashley has migrated over to Production, while I am on the Carrier side of the business now. There are so many ways to evolve in this industry, and I love that no matter where the industry takes you, you have the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and watch their professional journey evolve. In 2003, Lebron James was selected #1 overall In the NBA draft at 18 years old At 19 years old, he was selected to the East All-Star Team making him one of the top 24 out of 450 in a workforce that ranges from 18 to 40 years old. Nobody debated that a 19-year-old kid Was one of the best players in the world Because you could SEE IT "The eyes don't lie" At 19 years old, I was hired as an Account Executive at Ameriquest Mortgage by Doremus Wallace I chose like Lebron to skip college after injuring my ankle in football training heading into my freshman year. The closest peer in age to me at the time was 27 years old The workforce ranged in age from 27 to 50+ years old There were 125 reps in the national branch we worked in I was a Top 5 Account Executive, closing an average of 8 loans at $1.2 million in revenue per month.
