If you have AT&T, change your passwords, everyone! For all the years as a customer, Ive never had an issue with AT&T but keep an eye out for anything strange on your bank accounts or devices. "Criminals usually start taking a small amount where you don’t notice for months and then can leave you completely empty when you least expect it." Report, Report, Report to your bank if you see any transactions that you are not familiar with. "You can also make a report here for any type of fraud." https://lnkd.in/gec9FDZS News Coverage. https://lnkd.in/gnCDJAvH https://lnkd.in/gfD68akB

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! We’ve all been caught off guard by suspicious congratulatory emails and messages. To ensure you don’t fall prey to a scam, this is how you can identify and avoid competition scams: • Don’t engage with messages that state you’ve won a cash prize or monetary award, even if the message was sent by someone you know. • If there are grammatical and spelling errors • There’s a sense of urgency, intimidation or fear • If anyone claims you need to pay before you can redeem a prize, it’s a scam. • Don’t provide sensitive financial information, such as your bank account or credit card number. October is #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth! One important way to stay safe online is to be cautious with financial transactions. If you receive an email asking you to change the bank account details for an invoice you are expecting, don’t act on it immediately. Instead, reach out to the person directly by a phone number you know to verify the request. Remember: trust, but always verify to protect your accounts from potential fraud.
