5 reasons CULT GAIA x Gap collab has the internet’s fashion girlies GAGGED. 1. Audience alignment and expansion. There’s a clear audience overlap of the girlies that love GAP’s classic look and the edgier, sexier vibes of Cult Gaia. Both brands are connecting with each others audiences. 2. Price accessibility. Cult Gaia is high end pricing so this gives the girlies that love Cult Gaia a chance to get their signature look and branding for less. Price point ranges from $50-$500 which also allows GAP to be dipping its toes in higher end pricing. 3. This makes GAP look cool. GAP has been on fire with the collabs and this is the most hyped up one so far. TikTok fashion girlies have been organically talking about the collab all week - it’s become a trending topic and the sentiments are all extremely positive. 4. Connecting with younger audiences. GAP’s brand revamp over the past year has been going strong and this further solidifies their ability to create culturally relevant collabs. 5. The collab has a mix of Cult Gaia’s signature touches (chains, crop tops, cut out dresses) meeting GAP’s classic clean lines and silhouettes (cardigans, hats, button downs). There’s something for all occasions and vibes, that is if you can get your hands on the collection when it drops tomorrow… My only feedback is that it appears size inclusivity was not a factor or priority here and it absolutely should be especially on GAP’s end.
