🚂 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗼𝗳 #𝟱𝟬𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗢𝗳𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 🚂 Today I tackled an interesting problem: Finding the Minimum Number of Platforms Required at a Railway Station 🛤️ The challenge is all about managing train schedules where we need to ensure that no train has to wait for a platform. I learned how sorting and comparing arrival/departure times can optimize the solution efficiently. Barges are one of the final assets largely void of real-time tracking. With so many stops, third parties, and potential delays, huge opportunities for efficiency can be unlocked at relatively low costs. OpenTug aggregates thousands of ports, service locations, terminals, mile markers, and locks blended with logistics and weather data to give companies financial and delivery insights with barge tracking data. Combing situationally aware AI and easy-to-use satellite hardware, companies can automate the following items: - Position reports - ETA predictions - Demurrage charges - Fleet and berth billing - Schedule optimization - Quote estimates - Cost allocations - Major delays and hazard notifications - Break-away & collision detections And so much more! Check out OpenTug to learn how we're helping people in the barge industry achieve great accolades with software to move faster.

A trailer tracking system seems self-explanatory. It tracks the location of trailers, but it doesn’t stop there. You can easily track pallets, cargo, and more on those trailers. You can even monitor environmental conditions like shock and temperature. Read about it in this white paper. https://hubs.ly/Q02z_TJz0 #TrailerTracking

Our NextGen final project is underway! I'm excited to work with my team to create an application that highlights the knowledge gained through both the program and our individual studies. In short, our application will help a fictional auto shop gain repeat customers by sending them timely maintenance reminders along with discount codes via email. Originally, we were struggling to find a way to register unique customer/vehicle combinations. Do we download and import a long list of vehicles for reference with the risk of missing data and a maintainability nightmare? Do we allow employees to enter data manually, but risk data integrity? Below is our solution. A REST message utilizing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration API to decode VIN numbers paired with an asynchronous business rule. This ensures that each vehicle/customer combination is unique and that data integrity is maintained to the highest degree possible. What are your thoughts? Pros? Cons?

🧭 Mapping SOPs: Like GPS for Your Business 🧭 Imagine driving without GPS in an unknown city. 😵 That's business without SOPs. I worked with a client who was constantly firefighting, not knowing the root cause. 🚒 When we mapped their SOPs, it was like finding a hidden route in Google Maps. 🗺️ We identified 'traffic jams' and 'shortcuts' in their processes. Clarity leads to efficiency and more importantly speed!
