New article from me on Charizone - we've found around half of charities have the optimum board size (5-12 trustees, as defined by the Charity Governance Code). There's some tentative evidence that these charities are better managed - charities boards bigger or smaller than that are less likely to meet submission deadlines. https://lnkd.in/e6Jk_wmr

2moThis can be a minefield for councils that act as trustees on charity boards. If you are an individual trustee you should also be fully aware of your own personal responsibilities. Don't just rely on other trustees (or the CEO) to "keep you right".....
