Paying it forward! Jennifer Duncan FGLF 2008 tells us why she decided to ‘give back’ her GLF scholarship with a generous $14,450 donation to our Impact Fund. "When a trusted mentor suggested the GLF to me it sounded intriguing and also mysterious; but there’s no way my little NFP employer or I could have afforded the fee (over $10K at the time). I was an “Executive Director” but, in reality, living on love for the work at $55K a year. A scholarship seemed unlikely, but I hustled my application together, then firmly put the possibility out of my mind. "Twelve months later, thanks to the generosity of my sponsor Haigh’s Chocolates and the amazing team delivering the remarkable experience that was my GLF year, I was substantively changed. I was different; I was improved; my life was improved; my career was improved; and yes, over time, my pocketbook followed the trend. "And so, I decided to give my scholarship back.
