Executive Therapist - I help attuned leaders remain heroes in their own story by provoking presence, contentment and productivity
Forget your wins they no longer serve you. Last Friday, I had the privilege of speaking to a support group of foster parents—a group of incredible people doing courageous work with some of the most vulnerable among us. It was an empowering yet challenging conversation. One of the key takeaways was the importance of learning to let go of our successes. Why? This allows us to: • Stay present on the task at hand • Bring our entire selves to the work • Be attuned to the needs of those around us • Resist comparison that can easily derail our efforts • Find closure to our losses, while staying hopeful for tomorrow's victories At the moment, letting go of our trophies can feel debilitating. But our hope lies in something that will one day outlive us, not our aging victories. ---- I hope this post was helpful! If so, please comment with your thoughts. With Koru Kids we turned play into not just an activity but a career! Because, let's be real, nothing sparks up the mind quite like a healthy dose of play. So, we did what any fun-loving bunch would do – we transformed after-school activities into a cast of characters that are not just jobs; they're adventures waiting to be embraced. Imagine a world where 'Head of Paper Chains' isn't just a title; it's a position of power in the realm of creativity. And who wouldn't want to be the 'Chief Cuddle Officer,' where hugs are your currency, and play is your business? These aren't just roles; they're playful takes on the nannies' aspirations. But here's the twist: we didn't just dream these up in a boardroom. No sir, we brought in the real MVPs – Koru Kids nannies, the maestros of play, the architects of imagination, to play the nannies in our campaign. Check out our full case study here: https://lnkd.in/exEA7mGZ
