Present wants to hear from you! Have you gotten a not so great employee or client gift? We want to hear it!!! Message us a photo of your absolute worst gift and what it was for. The winner will get a special prize! Pictured below is a photo of what was available to us for our 5th work anniversary. Nothing is more rewarding then a set of measuring and mixing bowls I use to cook for my family after a 2 hour commute and 8 hours in the office (Sarcasm)!!!

Two years ago, I hired my first staff member- Esme, this weekend we celebrated her work anniversary with a nice dinner.
It’s hard to believe that two years ago, I was running a solo practice, with one part time staff member - and now I run 5 businesses in 2 cities with 32 employees!
Do it even when it’s scary, especially when it’s scary, the outcome may be way better than your vision.
Today, I am honored to be celebrating my 16-Year Work Anniversary with my company! That is a lifetime to some. It feels amazing. The people who I have met, and the things that I have learned on this journey have shaped my life in so many ways.
Here are some of the lessons that I have learned over the years...
* Work/life balance is crucial. It is important not to lose sight of what you are working for. Take the vacation. Go to the little-league game. Live a good life. It is short and you only get ONE. So, work to live, not the other way around.
* Be kind and respectful and greet everyone. Every person in every position.
* Give your respect freely but give your trust wisely. Guard your heart and your personal life. Be discreet. Know the difference between being friends and being friendly. Check your emotions. Don’t react quickly. Observe silently. Avoid office politics and gossip.
* Show up. Be consistent and take action.
* Be sincere, intentional and authentic. This goes for both your business and your personal life.
* Don’t be afraid to ask people to share their wisdom and experience with you. Share your knowledge with others.
* Know the difference between healthy competition and unhealthy “comparisonitis”.
* Use the right tools, organize everything, and keep good notes.
* Clear is Kind. Keep your communications clear, concise and easy to understand.
* Confidence in your abilities and knowing your value is important to your success. Believe in yourself and in your work.
As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, here's a special throwback photo! From day one to today, each team member's dedication, passion, and collaboration along the way have fueled our success.
Cheers to the memories - and here's to many more! 🥂👏

When things get hard…
This is what it actually means:
1. You are doing something that’s meaningful to you.
2. Success will taste a lot better later.
3. You are getting a training on handling hard for when it gets hardER.
4. You get an opportunity to sharpen skills.
5. You get an opportunity to realign yourself with your true values.
6. You got an opportunity to cut down on distractions.
7. You got an opportunity to create great memories (this one day is going to be the ‘good old days’).
8. You got a great opportunity to learn something new about yourself.
This is what it actually means among other cool things.
My LinkedIn network is reminding me today is my work anniversary.
So this is the perspective I'd like to share with you.
When it gets hard, that's one of the main ingredients for magic to happen.
So, take it the way it comes!
And just like it’s been 5 years since I joined Impact, not sure where the time has gone, but it has been a blast! 💥
Recruitment has certainly had its challenges over the last few years, I have learnt so much by working in this industry and it’s one of the reasons why I love it 😍
Every day is different, no day is the same, it is forever changing and adapting, with new challenges and is highly rewarding when you find that perfect job for the perfect person.
So here is to many more years of working in this incredible industry 🥂🍾🎉

It's almost time for our 10th anniversary celebration.
Over the last few posts, we've looked at the elements of our newly refined brand, and today we reveal our Brand Purpose - the 'why' of what we do:
'Engineering Futures, Constructing Partnerships.
We empower businesses by solving one of their biggest challenges: finding the right people.
We're not just recruiters; we're problem-solvers and enablers, helping to lift businesses by ensuring they have the talent they need to succeed.
We're about more than just recruitment; we're about powering the growth of our industries and the careers of our professionals, putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.
We don't fill a vacancy; we understand the precise needs of both the role and the individual, to ensure the perfect match.'
The tagline, 'Engineering Futures, Constructing Partnerships', works on a multi-layered system, talking to the literal aspect of engineering and construction, as well as the metaphorical idea of enabling clients, candidates, and our team to build their own futures through partnership with Mech Tech.
We worked with @wearerebel_lion to enable us to shape our future journey, and we're looking forward to the next 10 years of Mech Tech.
On May 20th, we'll be celebrating our 10th anniversary with a new video, where we sat down with the team to hear what their thoughts, feelings, and emotions are around the world of Mech Tech where we're Engineering Futures, Constructing Partnerships.
Earlier this month I celebrated my 14.5 year anniversary (yes, I celebrate half anniversaries AND half birthdays...drives my kids crazy!). Many will look at this and say, "whoa, over 14 years with the same company...do people still do that?". I've started to ask myself the same question as I see numerous resumes with multiple jobs, linked-in posts encouraging people to job-hop to advance more quickly, and even some co-workers leave in less time than I have to "continue to stay green and growing". So what is the right answer? I guess it is to do what you enjoy and to continue doing that until it is no longer enjoyable. I started in my role in October of 2009 thinking this would be a temporary role (I'll just be here until something better comes along). I suppose I've kept true to that internal voice - it just so happens that I haven't found something better yet! Being able to help veterans everyday is a true joy (and with some a challange, a frustration, and others a huge burden to carry). As I continue to move toward 15+ years please let me know if I can help you along your journey and if your journey has a few pit stops that detour you from racking up longer years with one company know that if you are happy and if you enjoy what you're doing, don't worry about what others think.

Congratulations to Carrie Vance, Outbound Team Lead, on her 10-year work anniversary! Learn more about her time with us below.
▪ What roles and responsibilities have you held over the last 10 years?
I have been fortunate enough to not only see the company grow but also to grow with the company myself. I was one of the first employees to start back in 2013 at our 853 location in Nevada. I started as a packer in the shipping department and have worked my way throughout the department learning every sub-department, all the way up to now being one of the Outbound Team Leads.
▪ What advice would you give to new employees just starting at WebstaurantStore?
Give it your all, it’s a wonderful company to work for. If this is a place you can see yourself at in the long run, then go all In. Working here will not only help you grow as a person but will help you grow within the company as well.
▪ WebstaurantStore provides “Anniversary Days” to tenured employees. On your 10-year anniversary, you get an additional 10 days of PTO that must be used in a row! Any big plans for your Anniversary Days?
Going on a Greek Cruise is something I have wanted to do for a while, so the plan this year is to be able to hopefully achieve it.
