I loved speaking to them! They are the team working for one of our major clients in Australia. All in their 20s... I shared my leadership values and principles, which have made my career, and my life, great (yep! I love my life! I think it's great! 😎 ) Here they are: ✅ "Shoot for the moon; you will fly among the stars". Dare to dream big! If your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough. Right? ✅ "If you have a good excuse, don’t use it". Take responsibility for everything in your life. Never blame negative events or people. Move on, despite them, and forget. And forgive. ✅ "Be grateful, there is abundance in the Universe". Remove scarcity and competitive thoughts. Be creative. Help others succeed. ✅ "Private success is the foundation of private success". Fix your private life before trying to succeed in your career. A beautiful family and trusted friends are the real diamonds. ✅ "We are the average of the five people we spend most time with". Just wanted to share my feelings as a young working professional - I am 24, and my time in the #corporate world has been full of learning and growth. I've faced challenges head-on, always trying to improve and learn new things. Even when things didn't go as planned, I've learned to bounce back and keep going. Working with great colleagues has been the best part, as we support each other and achieve success together. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of ourselves. 🌟 The Joy of Working Together 🌟 There’s something truly magical about a team that comes together with one goal in mind (whether short term or long term). When we unite towards a common goal, the long hours don’t seem so long, and the challenges don’t seem challenging any more infact become opportunities for us to put us in uncomfortable spots. In these moments, we laugh, we crib, we sigh, we push one another, we think, we question the odds and we finally celebrate!!! Every late night, every hurdle overcome, every moment of triumph is a testament to the power of teamwork and I am so glad I witness and experience this every day! 🎉 I’m excited to announce after 34 incredible years, yesterday marked the end of my journey at Accenture. Throughout the years, I pioneered policies that shaped the future of work, from our first Part-Time working policy to the inaugural remote work policy in 1994. I championed initiatives like the first working parents ERG, navigating the complexities of motherhood while thriving in my career, thanks to the unwavering support of many leaders. Grateful for the friendships forged within Accenture and beyond, I chose to lead with a service mind for my clients and my people. My path led me to discover my true calling as an Enterprise Strategist, transforming businesses and, in the process, truly helping many clients with their personal and professional career objectives.  By honoring the unique strengths and style of each leader on my team, together we established Accenture’s cross-value chain Agriculture Industry Strategy and practice, grew several of Accenture’s most strategic accounts, and doubled the size of our NA Chemicals and Natural Resources business.  My career was driven by identifying areas where our business or our client’s business could be stronger, incubating and building teams and corresponding business from scratch. At over 730k people I have been with Accenture longer than 728k of them!  Longer than 9700 of our 9870 Managing Directors. The change and evolution has been exhilarating.  My sincerest gratitude for the leaders that let me be uniquely me along the way. To all those that have imposter syndrome, I see you. The best advice I received was to not self-select out.  Try new things, even if they scare you. See where you can go. Test yourself and your limits. Soar. My passion within Accenture centered around creating an inclusive and empowering environment, both formally in the NA Resources Inclusion and Diversity role I held, as well as informally in every interaction with our people and clients. Often asked why I was still with Accenture, I stayed because I believe deeply in our core values: One Global Firm, Respect for the Individual, and Stewardship.  I stayed to help others soar, just like many helped me. As I step into a new chapter, I reflect on the leaders who've emerged, ready to carry the torch forward. Seeing so many of these amazing leaders rise, I know it’s my time to hand them the torch. My job is done. I leave with a heart full of pride and gratitude. Taking a pause for unapologetic self-care, I look forward to the next chapter. I am sure there will be a “Jenn Version 2.0” as I take these passions forward.  Still on the Executive Board for Southeast PA, I'm open to your thoughts on my future role as an Advisor, Board Member, and maybe even an entrepreneur.  In the meantime, you can find me pondering the same on the golf course, on long hikes or at the gym. I’m ready to reset and restart! Hi LinkedIn - been a while :) Its been an amazing rollercoaster since I landed at my new home in Accenture Thank you for such a warm welcome to everyone I’ve met along the way so far. So much stimulation and amazingly wicked problems to solve. It’s got me thinking - the world has never been more paradoxical – so how do we prepare for tomorrow? In a time when we're expected to stay laser-focused, we’re also asked to be flexible enough to embrace constant change. This paradox applies to both individual performance and business strategy. The future requires adaptability, but also a clarity of purpose and a whole bunch of new skills to keep us anchored amidst the noise. If you haven’t read it then I’d really recommend “TomorrowMind” by Gabriella Rosen Kellerman, MD and Martin Seligman. In it they talk to a framework that embraces key principles, encouraging future-focused thinking, guiding us in a world that demands flexibility, foresight, and balance. Definitely one to add to the reading list. Here are three key thoughts this morning. 1) Navigating Contradictions: The world is evolving fast, and leaders today must balance focus with openness to change. It’s not enough to stick rigidly to old ways of thinking. The ability to evolve, learn, and pivot will define the next generation of successful organisations and individuals. 2) Drowning in Data, Starving for Insights: We have access to endless data and tools that allow us to understand ourselves and others like never before. But often, this ocean of data can leave us feeling lost at sea. To thrive, we need more nuanced insights—ones that challenge our blind spots, connect different dots and drive better decisions. Relying on outdated truths whilst dealing with this rate of change is akin to a bus driver speeding down the motorway whilst facing backwards. 3) Rejecting "Moreism": In both business and personal development, “more” is not always “better”. We must be intentional about what we take on and what we delegate. "More" creates overload and burnout. Instead, clarity of thought and focus on what truly matters will lead to meaningful progress with measures worth understanding. This week marks ten (!) years at Accenture! Here’s the 10 things I’ve learned in my career. 1. Adopt a beginner’s mindset in everything you do. There’s always something new to learn. 2. Figure out how to contribute even more value than you are today. 3. When talking to any leadership about problems, come ready with solutions and recommendations as well. 4. Business is all about relationships. Build and foster those relationships. 5. Take care of your team and your team will take care of you. 6. Your career aspirations will change over time and that is very normal. 7. Create personal and professional goals that are monthly, quarterly, and yearly. Find someone who can keep you accountable. 8. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 9. Great leaders practice great ownership. The team owns the victories. The leader owns the failures. 10. Ask yourself two career questions every year: A) Are you still learning and growing?, B) Are you having fun doing it? If either of those are No, then you may need to find somewhere else to go. #careergrowth #careertips #accenture
