#Projectupdate Sharing a set of Before-After snapshots from a recently completed project—a 100-year-old Portuguese Goan exterior. The initial lighting setup seemed to flood the façade with light. Our vision was to create a serene and calming ambiance while highlighting the architectural features of the heritage façade. Lighting, as a design element, can sometimes be overwhelming, intense, or even contradict the essence of the architecture if not carefully managed. The key challenge here was defining the limits of its use. Our revised solution focused on identifying the façade’s distinctive design elements and striking a balance through thoughtful lighting. The outcome is a design that celebrates the architecture—enhancing it without overwhelming or competing with the surrounding landscape, yet making it the central focus. While I generally don't prefer sharing before-after images, I felt this project serves as a great example of how lighting techniques can transform spaces. Looking forward to your feedback and thoughts! #lightingconsulting #lightingdesign #lighting #lightingdesigners #lightingconsultant @The Lighting Police #lightingpolice #Lightingtreatments #heritagelighting #Heritagefacadelighting #100yearsold #Portuguesegoanfacade #Lightingforconservation #lighttechniques

𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮ç𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 Symmetry often dominates our ideas of beauty in architecture. But have you ever stopped to admire the unexpected charm of asymmetry? In design, irregular proportions and varied forms can create something truly captivating—a sense of movement, uniqueness, and personality. When applied to building façades, asymmetry becomes more than just a design choice. It’s a statement. A bold way to break free from predictability and craft structures that stand out. Imagine façades where: 🔹 Dynamic rhythms emerge from alternating window sizes or panel arrangements. 🔹 Contrasting materials like glass and stone create depth and intrigue. 🔹 Nature’s irregular forms inspire harmony in the most unexpected ways. The key lies in balancing this irregularity—ensuring it feels intentional and meaningful, while still maintaining functionality and efficiency. In a world that often seeks perfection, asymmetry reminds us that beauty isn’t always about balance—it’s about the story, the energy, and the experience. Could asymmetry be the design concept that redefines the way we view façades? Let’s discuss! 👇 #ArchitecturalDesign #Asymmetry #FacadeDesign #Innovation #DesignThinking
