Can you remember your last success in medicine, where a patient got well and expressed their appreciation? For every complaint we receive, there are likely 50 to 100 instances of positive outcomes and grateful patients. When faced with a complaint, it’s crucial to focus on it appropriately: learn from it and strive to improve. However, it's equally important to remember that this 0.5% of interactions shouldn't overshadow the 99.5% of successful, positive experiences. Pat yourself on the back for your successes once in a while, celebrate our wins, and keep growing. #MedicalSuccess #PositiveMindset #ContinuousImprovement #PatientCare #ReflectAndGrow

One of my favorite things about working at University Behavioral Center is how, outside of my role in outreach, I’m able to work with our patients before, during, and after our care. Peer support is life support. Authentically caring for each others well-being is the definition of community. #PeerSupport #CRPS
We are grateful to have several peer specialists at our facility! This week, our team will be detailing how peer support has changed since its implementation and its effects on our patients. #PeerSupport #Update

Does death and dying form part of your everyday conversation? Chances are, it doesn't. But we think it should. Maddy Thomson, our consultant nurse for palliative medicine and clinical lead for end of life care, shared her thoughts on this recently at the latest TEDxWinchester event. As part of her presentation she asked the audience: "Why is it that we struggle to plan and treat our deaths as preciously as we treat our lives? How do we struggle to respect and provide consideration?" You can read more about her TEDx talk at https://lnkd.in/eK_Wyrva
