The festive break means lots of things to lots of people. It is not all mince pies and mulled wine for everyone. So I ask you take a moment of reflection, not only for yourself, but those around you. Could this actually be a tough time of year for some? A time of grieving? Financial hardship? A sense of isolation or exclusion? The realisation of burnout? So take time for you! Take time for others! Just use the time to realign, refresh and reach out. Time is the greatest gift of all. For those who feel alone, don't be alone. There are charities and support services working all through the festive period if you need them. Make the break, the break YOU need. So in our household, we are full of lurgy. "Which charity are we donating the proceeds of #OwningOurOvaries to Dawn?" The question raised today by one of my ladies in my final #femaleonly anthology, an anthology that has taken many twists and turns since I began working on it. I was honest with her, as I am with everyone. Blowing smoke up someone's ar$e isn't my style, nor do I rub egos just to make folks feel better about themselves. When my boys were growing up, I'd never tell them they were great at something, or praise them for simply breathing as is the case of many parents these days. If they'd spent months on a ventilator, then yes, I'd be excited that they could breathe by themselves, but all this over praising, fake a$$ finery that is thrown around by the loves and darlings of this world, Yeah, just not me. I say what I think, and yes it may not make me the most popular person in the room, but I can guarantee you it makes me the most honest person in the room. "You're just the same Dawn you've always been" has been said to me many times over the years by those who've known me for the best part of 30 years, and yes, in essence I am. I've never been one to indulge in political correctness because it is a waste of time and effort, an impossible goal and something that only people pleasers take part in. It is why those who work with me go through a lot of growth and have their view of the world and beliefs changed in ways they could never imagine, oftentimes in uncomfortable ways, Which makes me a great coach. People know where they stand with me and they know I don't have time for 🐃💩er's, excuses or mediocrity. Many like the idea of working with me, but when it comes to upping their game to putting their money where their mouth is, or have to match their efforts with the lyrical waxing of their tongue, things go off on a slightly different tangent. I'm relentless in my pursuit of being the very best version of self, Make no apologies for my fees, nor will I price match with someone else, You can guarantee I'm not going to rip off ideas, content or give you a cookie cutter strategy, Because my coaching is as flexible as a yogi and as tailored as a Saville Row suit, Well, the flexibility bit may be a stretch of the imagination, especially these past few days after completing my first two run training sessions! 🥵 These are all the reasons why clients return to me again and again for the next level of their careers and businesses - even the clients I had in my very 1st business 26 years ago. My business focus may be different, but my insights, advice and honesty is even more valuable today than it was back then. I'm the courage you need to borrow, the fire in your belly and the kick up the backside you know you need, and I'm a massive geek which comes in very handy for your manuscript.
