There are many ways to support those in need in times like this, particularly if you’re frightened for your own safety and don’t wish to attend any protests/counter protests that you feel directly place you or your family “in harms way” - this list is in no way exhaustive, but offer some ideas: - check in on your friends - offer a safe space, in your home or a place you’re comfortable with - offer food/water/medical supplies - turn your gaze away from the people causing trouble, and towards those who are potentially on the receiving end of harm by taking them away from the situation - disengage in aggressive conversations - challenge your friends and colleagues with diplomacy - clean up the streets or areas that have been affected in your community - message your MPs and local police - report hateful pages
