🚨 Today is a critical moment for every Californian who relies on hemp. Your letters and calls have made a difference in Sacramento, pushing back on Bill AB 2223, but we are not out of the woods yet. Now, more than ever, we need to keep the pressure on and flood their offices with your voices! Why is this so urgent today? The Senate Appropriations Committee is meeting this week and will decide on this bill by today, Thursday, August 15th. This is our chance to urge Governor Newsom and bill sponsor Assembly member Cecilia Aguiar-Curry to amend AB 2223 before it's too late. The bill aims to regulate intoxicating products like delta-8 THC, but in its current form, it also threatens to eliminate access to non-intoxicating, natural hemp wellness products. Families and consumers should not be collateral damage to this hastily written legislation! Stand with families, veterans, and the millions of Californians. Don't delay – contact Governor Newsom and Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry today: https://lnkd.in/d9aJ6VJu - #hemp #wellness #hempaccess #charlotteswebcbd

🌿 Advocacy in Action! 🇺🇸 This Wednesday, April 17th, was a monumental day for the hemp industry! Members of the US Hemp Roundtable took to Capitol Hill to champion the causes close to our hearts. We're here to make a difference! They met with over 50 Members of Congress from 18 states and Washington DC to discuss the significant issues and opportunities facing our industry. Their voices were loud and clear: responsible regulation, not prohibition! 🚫 As discussions about the Farm Bill heat up, some are pushing to federally criminalize all hemp products containing THC. This is a critical moment! Such measures would not only stifle innovation but also unfairly impact responsible consumers and businesses alike. We need smart, sensible policies that protect consumers, especially minors, without hindering the growth of the entire hemp sector. 🌱 Stand with us as we fight for fair legislation and continue to educate our leaders on the true benefits and safe use of hemp products. Every voice counts! #HempAdvocacy #USHRoundtable #FarmBill2024 #HempEducation #PolicyChange

Natural Products Industry / Plant Medicine Advocate: Mo George-Payette Consulting, Inc., Founder/CEO MOMO’s CBD
Prior to this detrimental hasty action, basic due diligence would have provided key insights acknowledging that the groundwork has already been established for a successful, thriving, dynamic Hemp/CBD Industry, providing these regulations are followed. But now we need your help...
In an open letter to Gavin Newsom, U.S. Hemp Roundtable General Counsel Jonathan Miller urges the Governor to withdraw the proposed emergency hemp regulations. We agree, hemp products in California must be robustly regulated and kept out of the hands of minors. We agree, it's time to require good manufacturing practices and truth in labeling. Where we disagree is on approach. Governor Newsom is attempting to ban 90-95% of all #hemp products through emergency regulations he doesn't have the authority to implement. He's cracking down on good actors who want to follow the rules, allowing the black market to flourish. Instead of misguided prohibition, we call on the Governor and the California Department of Public Health to use the enforcement powers within AB45 to target these bad actors. Instead of sounding the death knell for hemp farmers and small businesses in the Golden State, we can work together to provide for the safe provision of healthy products to adults only, while continuing to generate millions of tax dollars that can be directed to move California forward. We need all hemp supporters to take action! Share this letter widely on social media, and tag Gavin Newsom to ensure he understands the devastating impact these regulations could have on the hemp industry. Full letter in the comments below!

Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) proposed an amendment that would federally ban "all ingestible hemp products with any level of T H C." According to MJ Biz, "That language would render most products containing delta-8 T H C and other novel cannabinoids such as HHC illegal under federal law. That includes T H C A. Yesterday the Mary Miller Amendment was passed without a roll call vote. Meaning voters were left OUT of the decision. Let's remind lawmakers that they represent US. And WE stand united with the hemp industry. 🚨Attention California Hemp Supporters!🚨 Recent amendments to AB 2223 threaten the thriving hemp industry in California. These amendments propose restrictive THC potency limits, potentially crippling hemp products with caps at 0.25mg total THC per serving or 1mg total THC per package. Such regulations could dismantle the full spectrum hemp industry, undoing the progress made since the passage of AB 45. But there's hope. We can take action to protect the future of hemp in California. It's crucial that we unite and urge our legislators to oppose these harmful THC potency limits. Ready to make a difference? Visit the link below to submit your letter and ensure our voices are heard. Let's stand together to safeguard the vitality of California's hemp industry. https://lnkd.in/d4PjhSmw

Could this be Governor Newsomes’ inspiration for his idiotic fake hemp emergency? Same old hysteria and misinformation. Different decade. Reefer madness rears is ugly head again with more nonsensical piñata swinging chicanery. If the Natural products industry and the public doesn’t join in solidarity with Hemp inclusive companies in generating resistance to this nonsense, then they’ll keep using it as the template of harassment for everything that isn’t liquor and big pharma. Holy basil, Ashwaganda, Valerian, Hops, Kava Kava, passion flower, every kind of mushroom, white Willow, lemon balm, they’re going to be coming for it all and using the same indirect methods of suppression and harassment until all that is left is liquor and pharmaceuticals. Lies and hysteria are what the law is supposed to protect you from, not what is used to make them.
