Rock mechanics is a fascinating area of study that's especially relevant in Zimbabwe, where the geology is diverse and complex. #rockmechanics #Zimbabwegeology In Zimbabwe, rock mechanics is important for understanding and managing the country's natural resources, such as minerals and water. It's also critical for predicting and preparing for geological hazards, such as earthquakes and landslides. We're looking forward to hosting a seminar with Zimbabwe geology mentors and sharing knowledge about this important field. #Zimbabwegeologymentors #

Saudi Geology Saudi geology consists of four geological domains or regions and they are: - Coastal Red Sea Plain. The Hijaz Mountains -The plains of Najd The coastal plain of the Arabian Gulf The Red Sea plain consists of shallow marine sediments on a narrow strip adjacent to the Red Sea. The Hijaz Mountains consist of a mountain range extending south-north from the base rocks, volcanic rocks and surrounding sediments. The Najd Plain consists of sand and sandstone rocks. The Arabian Gulf coast consists of continental and deep marine sediments in a wide strip west of the Arabian Gulf.

Advocate for a globally competitive #AUSTRALIANFUSIONENERGYINDUSTRY with strategic communications expertise.
Geology is fluid now place on earth is stable for the time frame that the fission industry needs to keep that toxic waste safe. Eventually, those caverns will collapse and the radiation will leak into the environment and poison the world. Not today but in a 100years you and the fission industry want to treble that waste into these facilities. What fission scientist is smart not one of you only thinks in your lifetime not the future. Get into the fusion industry to save the world and help the renewables and hydrogen systems. Don't waste our youth in pointless fission madness. Robert Hayes move to fusion and teach youth a real future to gain at University not a dying industry similar to coal and its waste failures. History has shown how deadly it is and the only way to stop it is to go Fusion. https://lnkd.in/gVsCTGeY. Not really looking good as there are a lot of ageing reactors. Rising risk of accident and death. https://lnkd.in/g6SQeEEU

Its interesting how geology is related to most of the earth's crust events . Concentrating on the hyrogeology sector we look at how water gets into the ground ,flows through the subsurface and how all this is related to the geological enviroment. Hydrogeology is a branch of geology that deals with groundwater, how it flows, recharges and interacts with rocks and soil( geology). It immediately starts after the water reaches the surface and has been infiltrated into the subsurface. When the water gets into the subsurface it then flows through the subsurface ( percolation) into the aquifer and hence interacting with the soils and Rocks in the subsuface ( interacting with geology).

Why do we study and where we use structural geology Structural geology It is the branch of geology which mainly deals with the structure formed through any geological processes like tectonic, erosional or any other processes which mainly focus on structure Three process mainly focus under structural geology Geometry Timing Mechanism Geometry In geometry we study the size, structure and orientation if the structure Timing At which time the structures are formed as per geological time scale Mechanism As per which mechanism these structures are formed Uses to be dicussed in another post Photo credit geologyscience.com
