Dear job seekers, I recently posted a Front Office Team Leader role for a five-star hotel pre-opening. The response was overwhelming - 500 applications! However, only 5% of applicants had the experience required. I understand times are tough, but random applications aren't the answer. Here's why: ❌ It doesn't increase your chances of selection ❌ It wastes both your time and recruiters' ❌ It can harm your professional reputation Applying to jobs should be strategic, not a "spray and pray" approach. Sending your CV to every opening, regardless of fit, is like firing a machine gun blindly - ineffective and potentially damaging. Quality over quantity. Each application should showcase why you're the right fit for that specific role. Be selective. Be relevant. Be professional. Your future employer will appreciate you. #JobSearch #Recruitment #HospitalityJobs

Sometimes, you are not given an opportunity not because you are been cheated or denied it, it is because you are not qualified for such an opportunity. Life is real such that your content determines your worth. This defines how valuable you would be. Prepare yourself to meet with every opportunity that you think to be yours. What you don't have will still keep you where you are until you decide to acquire it. If you have worked for an organization as an office assistant for 5 years then expecting to be upgraded to a front desk officer without having a required qualification, the truth is that you will see a new employee occupying that position. Your year of working in the organization is not a guarantee to advance into a new office that you don't have any knowledge, or skill about or possess the needed academic qualifications. People would ask what about the place of grace? Yes, grace works but it works with value. What you have determines the extent grace will take you. Don't wait for grace to act, act to complement grace. Grace is exclusive and it works every day. Add value to yourself every day. Think about this! Happy new week! #stanleynuggets #DailyDrive #value #yourworth #WinningTheFuture

You’re not using your unique advantage if you do this: ❌ Ignoring the odd jobs you worked in your life. My career path is anything but straight - random jobs and breaks included. I used to see it as a disadvantage, but it’s time to reframe that. And you should too. Find the value in your unique experiences by asking yourself: ✨ What’s a new skill I learned from this job? ✨ What’s a new POV I gained from this job? ✨ What’s something I found out about myself because of this job? ✨ In what way did this job push me out of my comfort zone? There’s value in every step you take. For example, in hindsight, working a front desk job significantly improved my English and taught be much about working with all kinds of personalities. What’s an odd job you worked, and how has it helped you? #careerdevelopment #personalgrowth
