On April 13th, Chateaushi was honored to host the first ever dinner in the painting galleries of Musée Maillol in the company of Alexandre Lorquin and Pierre Lorquin, co-vice presidents of the Musee Maillol and relatives of the artist’s muse. Our attendees enjoyed a three-course meal provided by Ducasse Receptions, the company of Alain Ducasse - the only chef to hold twenty-one Michelin Stars, a violin concert by Mathilde Marshall as well as complete private access to the museum and its art. Chateaushi looks forward to continuing to forge these special and unique partnership expansions amongst cultural institutions throughout Europe. We aim to support like-minded preservation efforts in all aspects of art and culture and in doing so, be able to provide our members with intimate and exclusive experiences that can truly only be accessible to our community. On April 12th, Chateaushi and Fine Dine Club co-hosted a cocktail event to mark the official launch of our partnership and joint venture of our Paris clubhouse set to open in Spring 2025. Our esteemed guests were treated to a memorable evening adorned with the effervescence of champagne, high-level networking and the gastronomic delights of Verjus. On International Women’s Day we would like to shine light on a woman who was dedicated to preserving historic landmarks: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Known for her efforts in preserving historic buildings, Onassis played a key role in saving Grand Central Terminal in New York City, the Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C, and the White House. Onassis famously said at a press conference in Grand Central’s Oyster Bar, “If we don’t care about our past we can’t have very much hope for our future.” In a letter to mayor of New York City Onassis so eloquently said: "Dear Mayor Beame…is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud moments, until there is nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future? Americans care about their past, but for short term gain they ignore it and tear down everything that matters.” Throughout history women have been some of the best advocates for protecting buildings from being destroyed. We look up to these women who came before us for inspiration on our own quest to create the #FutureOfHistory
