I’d comment about the term “bread”. Anachronistic problems and translation issues from ancient symbol languages plague the use of this descriptive “bread”. To suggest leftover modern supermarket “bread” as closely related to grain products from earliest human “documents” is dodgy. Historical brewing used desiccation to create bricks of malted grains (mostly barley in Mesopotamian regions). These malt bricks (cakes, “breads”) from such ancient times were indeed malts. And not logical to try to pretend they were closely related to the term “bread” as envisioned by modern readers. https://lnkd.in/dNHasNpQ cheers, Keith

Lots of the crusty Golf Club Set on here tell me Scotch Whisky is 'struggling'. I suppose if you only manage to DOUBLE your profits in a Year, there is some dark corner of Scotland where this would be regarded as hopeless... The truth is, Scotch Whisky is booming but you do get the odd plonker who is confusing 'sales' with 'value'. They all look to Diageo rather than the other half, who are doing a bit better! The recent, ludicrously-expensive launch by The Macallan, a couple of week ago, it's already Sold-out, in most places. The owners are a £1 billion turnover concern, on their own, with only 4 or 5 Scotch Whisky brands. There are now THOUSANDS of different Scotch Whisky bottlings, and even some of the tiny, incredibly niche ones pandering to a few hundred people, are £multi-million concerns. The Campbeltown Scotch, from one of the other Distilleries there, I used to use at tastings, because it was so excellent and cheap, it's now £200 a bottle. If you're driving, A visit to Campbeltown takes AGES. It's away on a peninsula and it was very economically depressed, after the Scotch Whisky boom ended decades ago and dozens of Distilleries closed. Campbeltown found out that 'trickle down economics' didn’t really work for them. Only a few Distilleries remained, including this fantastic one and now, Campbeltown is on the up. Although it's still amazingly cheap to buy a house in, this will change, as many new Distilleries are planned, as are developments, in existing places. Nobody knows anything about Campbeltown. It’s a fantastic initiative by Karnataka FDA & CMO👍. Similarly, other States should take such initiatives. The Bottom of the Pyramid has to be educated, sensitized & compelled to Comply with basic food safety norms. FSSAI should empower expressly to the DO & FSOs present and connected to the Bottom of the Pyramid. Food safety hazards do not give concession to the Petty FBOs nor to the Poors. And the Poors do not buy branded products from Central Licensed FBOs. For last 12years, since 2011, the Administration has ignored the Health of the Poors in India. Now, it’s time to correct the Coarse & Bang on Petty FBOs who are innocent, illiterate & very money minded. All these qualities are against the Food Safety. The unnecessary items like Shoes, Bags are sold in AC showroom with regular cleaning. Whereas the Vegetables are sold on Footpaths… What a Paradox?
