Companies track every financial transaction with precision, yet rely on basic estimates to measure their carbon footprint. Today, we're backing Bardo's €3M round to solve this. 🍒 Founded by Carl-Johan "CJ" Westring, Oskar Klingberg, Ingemar Rask, and Erik Sandström, Bardo creates an entirely new category - Carbon Intelligence. Their AI-powered platform enables real-time, transaction-based carbon tracking with unprecedented accuracy. Why this matters: - Global enterprises control significant carbon emissions through their value chains - Current carbon reporting relies on oversimplified calculations - Companies need precision to make fact-based decisions about sustainability AND profitability At Cherry we’re excited about founders who identify deep industry problems and build transformative solutions from the start. Already, Bardo sees several Forbes 2000 companies run pilot programs on their platform. In this round, we’re joining forces with Stegra and prominent Nordic angels to support the mission of steering the world toward net zero. Companies track finances down to the penny, but carbon emissions? It's mostly guesswork. Proud to back Bardo with €3M as they build the new standard for carbon tracking - using AI to measure emissions in real-time, just like financial transactions. 🍒

Top 5 takeaways from the 'Scaling Carbon Solutions' panel at Tech Open Air with panel guests Benjamin Schulz, Sasan Hashemi, Magnus Drewelies and Thomas Käslin. 1️⃣ It's not just about reducing the amount of carbon we are emitting, but how to avoid it altogether. (Exactly what Sasan is doing over at Tset) 🔥 2️⃣ Europe is the strongest carbon market in the world. The only way we can keep this edge is by speed of execution. 3️⃣ Benjamin's advice to early-stage founders is to find a role model in your field 1-2 years ahead. Let them show you the ropes and skip some of the mistakes. 4️⃣ Do things that don't scale and focus on delivering on what your customer needs right now. Validate above all else. 5️⃣ If you want to fundraise, first ask your prospective investor for advice. Collaborative relationships are the best foundation between founder and investor. Thank you to Niko Woischnik and Pamela Pompas Oreiro for hosting us!

Series C is for compliance and CORSIA… 🌐✈️ Marking our latest round of investment, Tommy Ricketts and Sebastien Cross reflect on the Series C fundraise and what it means for the company, the market and climate. ‘Three years ago there was no correlation between price and quality, no tool to enable a race to the top, no systematic way to reward best practice or make sense of risk. The speed at which ratings have become adopted in the market has been incredible. Having front row seats is the trip of a lifetime. A privilege in every way imaginable.’ 💬 Read their reflections on what’s next for BeZero: https://hubs.li/Q033jgj30 #SeriesC #CORSIA #ComplianceMarkets #CarbonMarkets
