Meet Jason Townsend - Superintendent and this month's Hard Hat Hang Up. In high school, Jason spent his summers framing houses and building decks. A few years after graduation, he got the opportunity to run jobs and has been doing so ever since. As a Superintendent, Jason says, "I really enjoy problem-solving, and no matter how much I’ve seen or done, I’ve never lost interest in how things are built." He adds, "There is always more than one way to do something, and I enjoy finding the best way for each situation." When asked about his favorite aspect of working at Chesapeake, he highlights the supportive structure, noting that everyone wants each other to succeed. Outside of work, Jason enjoys fishing, kayaking, and camping with his wife and two sons. On Saturday evenings, you can find him at a local dirt track, watching races with his father and youngest son.
