The best part of the job is definitely this! Lovely review from my client and it really validates how important the legal work is that we do in CICA claims which is such a niche and often misunderstood area. #review #IrwinMitchell #CICA #teamwork
A fantastic 5* review for Samantha Burnard and the rest of the CICA team. A review which demonstrates the care and commitment from the team. Well done 👏

Are you in the process of selecting an EDC system for your next clinical project? Still hesitating between choosing software from a smaller provider or a large corporate company? Then definitely check out this episode of the Trials with Maya Z Podcast, where our CIO, Daniel Schwarz, explains all the pros and cons of both options. If you find that an EDC system from a smaller provider might suits your needs, send me a message. I'd be happy to discuss with you how we can support your next project! #ClinicalResearch #EDC #DataManagement #PodcastRecommendation #ClinicalTrials
Maya Zlatanova provokes Daniel Schwarz to put himself in the shoes of a sponsor. She asks him to choose between working with a small EDC provider versus a big one. Daniel gives advantages to both, but he has a clear winner. Listen to the full conversation for his direct answer.

A COMPASSIONATE ECONOMY IS IT POSSIBLE? Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending a thought-provoking discussion that challenged conventional business models. Melanie Rieback and Alison Holloway explained how their company business models work with an approach that challenges the traditional drive to extract wealth from production, offering instead a more balanced, equitable, environmentally sound and compassionate way of doing business. 🤷♀️ What is it about this model that is compassionate ➡ It's a business model that prioritises people, the environment and society over profits, enabling everyone involved - employees, owners, customers, the business and even the economy to thrive without causing the harm of traditional business models. ➡ Staff and owners alike earn a fair and livable wage, but no one becomes 'unnaturally wealthy', as Melanie puts it. At the same time, staff don't get terminated for a sniff of a slight boost to the company's profit. ➡ Customers are charged market rates, with provisions to subsidise those who need the service but can't afford to pay as much. ➡ No shareholder's interest in extracting wealth from the business is prioritised above all else. Measures are put in place to stop this eventuality from arising. 🤔 If you find this business model as intriguing as me, I highly recommend watching Melanie's TED talk. For those who are truly enthusiastic, Melanie's LinkedIn page hosts a series of 8 YouTube clips, each over an hour long, on how to build a non-extractive business. 🙏 A big that you to Antony McMullen, FGIA, FRSA, for your inspiring wrap-up at the end of the panel discussion and to the 888 Co-operative Causeway Limited and RSA Oceania for making the event happen and Clare Fountain, GAICD, for being an excellent panel facilitator Why we need to reform the startup business model | Melanie Rieback | TEDxBerlin (youtube.com)

Thank you Alison Holloway for walking the talk on Friday last night, outlining the inspiring SGS Economics and Planning organisational model that examplifies some of the ideas advocated so beautifully by Melanie Rieback. Our 888 Co-operative Causeway Limited event was supported by RSA Oceania at The Kelvin Club ... thanks also go to Sharon Ede and Kane Jackson for your support. Pictured: event MC Clare Fountain, GAICD (colleague Co-operative Bonds), Alison and of course Melanie. All under the gaze of Lord Kelvin!

Highly recommended: If you'd like to get a masterclass in how to leverage Argilla, spaCy, and other open source ML tooling to use NER to convert unstructured data (text) into semi-structured labeled data, with human-in-the-loop ... et voilà here is an amazing resource by Louis Guitton!!
Louis Guitton killing it today at the Argilla Community meetup. Talking about NER and it's come back to Argilla 😂

This is Noah Lyles, world champions in 100m and 200m currently. His run takes approximately 20 seconds for 200m and it's done, approximately 10 seconds for 100m and it's done. But see what it takes to run in that time! The question would now come! For us who works a minimum of 8 hours a day, how much effort do we need to put in and become champions in 8 hours? A logical question, right? https://lnkd.in/d_VnpWpp
