What if you find it hard to recognise your successes? You’re not alone. As humans, we are hardwired to focus more on the negative aspects of our lives than the positives. It’s why we recommend outsourcing the awards process to an agency like Green Door Co who can look at your business objectively. If you’re hearing very few NO’s when sharing your fees, it might be time to raise your price… There are various scenarios where this becomes relevant. One being, the more specific and non-generic your offer, the better fit clients you’ll attract. The more aligned clients you attract, the bigger results your partnership creates and the bigger your demand becomes. The higher the demand, the higher the bar. It’s a delightful predicament to find yourself in. And if you’re ready to experience it personally in your coaching or consulting business, or raise your current bar—you and I should have a conversation.

There's a topic I've been meaning to write about for a while... and now, my LinkedIn connections the time has come, before the end of 2024.... ⌚ Best Buckle up🧡 Business awards🏆 (I can almost hear the gulp) I've banged the drum for a few years about local business acknowledgement and how totally AMAZING it is that businesses are recognised for their hard work with local business awards. However... I'm sharing with you the dark side. Majority* of them are BS! Total and utter bull. Why? 👇 🥸Ask for the criteria on which your business is judged .... and You'll be told "there isn't one" and "judges decision is FINAL!" 😳 We fell for this BS fakery this year after being "judged". The pompous old opinionated and arrogant judge was degrading, insulting, rude and a total biggot. when I raised concerns I was told "he wouldn't care what you think and is terribly influential, locally". Here's the thing - I couldn't give a stuff, I'm definitely not afraid to call him or the entire process out. here's our top tips; 🧡It's important to have a judging criteria 🏆It's important to have judges who are qualified 🧡It's important to have judges that understand businesses 🏆It's important to have judges that are prepared to ask questions if they don't understand 🧡Vital not to have an invested interest 🏆Judges with the appropriate moral compass and subject knowledge who can make an informed decision and not a bias decision 🧡People appointed as judges, understand the criteria and are appointed on merit and not on how much money they put into the organisation or business. 🏆Don't expect there to be any repercussions and it's not about being sore losers it's about running a business on a fare and level platform. *not all but the majority You'll see I posted about winning a national business award yesterday which is wonderful 🏆 and shows our professionalism but to us that means more than a corrupt fake favouritism type awards that we want absolutely nothing to do with. 🏆🧡🏆 You've been warned 🏆🧡🏆 #businessawards #cleanslate #rant
