𝗪𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀) Leo Tolstoy said, "All happy families are alike, but each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way" Well, the same goes for hotels. The successful ones all seem to nail a similar set of things: 🟢 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: Strong leadership, a collaborative crew, and everyone's on the same page. 🟢 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰: Knowing who you're trying to reach and using the right channels to get there. 🟢 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘆: Striking a balance between getting your name out there and keeping prices fair. 🟢 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝘀: A focus on a diverse, sustainable guest mix and making sure every stay is stellar. 🟢 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Building loyalty programs and keeping the good times rolling with past guests. 🟢 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻: Embracing the latest tech to keep things smooth and guests happy. Now, the struggling hotels? They tend to stumble in some (or all!) of these areas. Think: 🟠 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗟𝗮𝗴: The wrong people at the helm can sink the ship fast. 🟠 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆: A team that doesn't work together can't deliver a great experience. 🟠 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲: Targeting the wrong crowd or using the wrong channels is a recipe for disaster. 🟠 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀: An imbalanced mix of guests can lead to problems down the line. 🟠 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀: Let's just say unhappy guests don't come back. 🟠 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿: Falling behind the times can leave you in the dust. The takeaway? Success in the hotel business is about getting a lot of things right. Just one weak area can bring your whole operation crashing down. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗽: This principle applies beyond hotels! Think about your own team or department. Are there several key areas that, if done well, can lead to success, but even one weak spot can bring things down? What are your thoughts on the keys to hotel success?
