I'm tired of hearing this question over and over, so let me give you the full-on answer. → How can a business benefit from building employees’ personal brands? 4 straight reasons: 1. You are invisible till you let people know you exist.  → How can someone buy from you if they don't know you are there? → Stay top of mind and build trust. They need to be reminded daily that you can help them. 2. You need to hack positing. → It’s all about how you position yourself. There are people smarter and dumber than you. There are people more or less acknowledged. → It depends on whom you compare yourself to. Find which audience can benefit from your knowledge. 3. You don’t make the rules, the world does. → If you don't like LinkedIn and personal branding, fine. Don't complain if you don't reach your goals tho. → Sometimes in business, you also need to do things you don't like. 4. Stop spending money on ads and company marketing. → Company marketing is less effective, customers are asking for more personalization. → Invest in your employees and make them the spokespeople of your brand. In a world that it is changing so fast, sometimes you just need to change approach. It's not your marketing that is broken, you are just looking at it from the wrong perspective. People constantly look for validation and proof from faces whom they can trust. It takes double the time to build credibility with a company logo over a person's face. It's literally human psychology, the very foundation of any marketing strategy. It started with influencers, it keeps going with KOLs, and it will grow with founder-led marketing. As a founder or executive, one of the greatest skills you can have is knowing where to invest resources that will bring concrete results. I challenge you to reconsider your company marketing strategy, and invest in building strong personal brands within your company. 1. Start with yourself 2. Give the freedom to employees to be your ambassadors 3. How cool to see I am not the only big advocate of personal branding in Web3 ;) BeInCrypto strongly believes that trust is built in public and C-levels should be the frontrunners in building strong connections with their communities. I cannot stress enough how game-changing it can be for people who are enthusiastic about your brand to attribute a face and a voice to the great solutions you are building. It challenges you to get out of your comfort zone, I know. It challenges you to add another task to your busy schedule. Like Instagram in 2015, personal branding on LinkedIn in 2024, it's simply a MUST. Look around, become aware, everyone is starting to be more active. Would Ethereum be the same without Vitalik? Vitalik stands out not only for his genius but also for his willingness to engage with the community. He could have hidden behind his code, letting Ethereum speak for itself. But he didn’t. He took to the stage, sharing his thoughts and visions, making himself visible and accessible. Too often, leaders hide behind their projects. They assume their company's success will speak for them. But Vitalik shows us the opposite, thanks! Real influence comes from being seen and heard, which is not a synonym for bragging about yourself. It's about sharing the knowledge and the journey in the most authentic way possible. His willingness to engage openly has earned him respect and loyalty in a space where trust is hard to come by. And let’s not kid ourselves, success in Web3 isn’t just about infra. It's about how you market yourself and how loyal your community is. Vitalik's story is a wake-up call for every founder out there. Moral? Don’t hide behind your brand. Be seen. Be heard. Just try, I like to hear that I'm right 😜

This morning I met Juni here in Bali and she mesmerised me with her sales strategy (↓) Let me tell you the story. I was about to take a boat to Lombok, Indonesia. She was trying to sell me a bottle of water saying “water water water” I was unbothered, and barely noticed it. Then she told me: “ Your trip is 2h long and you are without water” That sentence got me. I started thinking immediately about my NEED of water and the FEAR of scarcity of not having enough water. Then she went with “the boat is leaving in 2 mins” There she got me with URGENCY of needing something fast. How brilliant. I had to stop to congratulate her for her sales strategy. 2 simple rules: 1. Understand the problem Sometimes we take for granted that our customers know the problems they are facing. They don’t. Find the pain point, link it to an emotion and articulate it clearly. 2. Repetition is key If customers are not aware of and remembered enough about your services, they simply forget that you are there to help them. You don’t need new brilliant ideas, you need to be more present to stay always top of mind. It can be as simple as this. Well Juni, thanks for opening my eyes on this. Cheers from Gili Islands! 🐬

People get personal branding wrong from day one. (I realized this in Doha recently) When I visited Doha, the first thing I noticed was how well the city was built. Every corner had purpose, every building had vision behind it. It wasn’t rushed or chaotic, it was methodical. You could tell that the foundation of the city was laid with clarity, and everything that came after followed that vision. This is exactly what most people miss with personal branding. They jump in without a plan, throwing together a profile without thinking about what they’re building. Allow me this metaphor, but like Doha, if your foundation is set properly, it’s easier to maintain consistency over time. With the right structure in place, you attract what aligns with your brand. You’ll build with quality, not noise. 1. Understand where you stand 2. Set where you want to go 3. Condense it in one main message 4. Portray that authentically 5. Stick to it to see results 6. Build a community of like-minded people who love and support what you have built Sometimes trips are more than trips, this was one of this. P.S. If it wasn’t clear: I loved Doha 🥹🇶🇦
