Silicon Valley did not try to become Automotive Valley trying to replicate Detroit. Texas is leading the nation with Industry 4.0. The current “tech-tonic” shift occurring in society will be the most transformational in over 50 years as we see the digital & physical collide within INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE. Creating millions of new jobs and establishing new epicenters. Walt Maciborski, KEYE-TV, fantastic comment: “We are not Silicon Hills . . . the Austin Technopolis is its own thing.” Fred Phillips & the TANDO Institute is helping Texas lead this transformation that will support entire regions, including rural and urban. 🎉 Happy 316th Birthday, Benjamin Franklin! 🎂     On January 17th, 1706, Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Beyond being a Founding Father and statesman, Franklin's impact on science and invention was groundbreaking.     Franklin's experiments with electricity revolutionized our understanding of the natural world. His famous kite experiment in 1752 demonstrated the electrical nature of lightning and laid the groundwork for future physics advancements.     Among his many inventions, the lightning rod also stands out amongst his innovations. This design protected buildings from lightning strikes and showcased Franklin's ability to translate scientific knowledge into life-saving innovations.     Franklin's inquisitive mind didn't stop there. From the flexible catheter to the bifocals we use today, his inventions touched various aspects of daily life, reflecting his commitment to improving the human experience.     At the USF Institute of Applied Engineering, Inc. Academic Consortium, we remember Mr. Franklin for not only his contributions to our country’s establishment, but also for his scientific achievements. The parties have just signed a Letter of Intent to form a European research infrastructure cluster for hyperloop. This collaboration constitutes the first steps towards creating a "European Space Agency" for hyperloop, with decentralized hyperloop testing sites throughout Europe coordinated by the HDP Highlights of the collaboration are: - Complementary testing facilities: the organizations will share and build upon the test results following from the 420-meter European Hyperloop Center in Groningen (NL), as well as the 120-meter DemoTube in Zurich (CH) - Resource pooling and efficiency: EuroTube, EHC, and HDP are working closely together by pooling resources, increasing the effectiveness of both organizations. - Accelerated innovation & strengthened European leadership: Together we are speeding up the development of sustainable transport solutions, positioning Europe at the forefront of hyperloop technology. Above that, we are not just connecting research facilities, but also paving the way for a greener, more connected Europe.
