Leadership lessons from The West Wing #4! Here we learn about the importance of setting boundaries and trusting your instincts. Seasons 1-5 had many of us secretly hoping Donna and Josh would get together, but the way he treated her was a huge alarm bell. And yet he could not function without her! Remember Indiana??! He expected her to be at his beck and call, yelling "DONNA!" whenever he needed something. Not okay, Josh! He also regularly gaslighted her, making her believe he supported her career while actually holding her back. It took kind words from CJ, and quite some time, for Donna to see the truth. So, what can we learn from this? First, never let anyone shout at you, and expect you to come running, even if they work at the White House!! Second, always trust your gut and get a second opinion, especially when it comes to your career. What do you think about this working relationship between Donna and her manager, Josh. Share them in the comments below! #leadershiplessons #thewestwing #careeradvice

Key takeaways: 1. When faced with making decisions, ask three things: Does it move us forward? Is it good for people? Does it feel good/align with my soul? 2. Always ask and seek to understand - “what’s the mission?” 3. Kill them with competency. “Have the courage to try to go do that audacious thing that you’re not sure what the end result is going to be but know the path to doing it is worth it.” - Former U.S. Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy Another incredible experience in the presence of a great leader. It’s hard to believe our leadership series is ending in one week. I will definitely take the opportunity from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College to audit courses and connect. Surround yourself with great people, it will push you to be better and do better in this world.

Just wrapped up my Brooklyn Nine-Nine binge today, and what a ride it's been! The laughs were endless, and amidst the hilarity, I learned some real leadership insights from the dynamic duo - Deputy Commissioner Raymond Holt and Captain Terry Jeffords. Holt, the epitome of calm leadership, sets the tone for a workplace where being an ace detective is the norm. Terry, a powerhouse, tough as nails with a heart of gold, rocks through the ranks from Sergeant to Lieutenant to Captain. How Terry seamlessly handles both roles blows my mind – running the precinct like a boss and being a super-family man. Holt and Terry showcase the perfect leadership combo – Holt's precision and professionalism paired with Terry's blend of toughness, mentorship, and a family-first approach. They turn the precinct into a family hangout, proving that a strong team is about more than just solving cases. This Brooklyn Nine-Nine binge was more than laughs; it was like a front-row seat to a leadership and life-juggling masterclass. Here's to Holt and Terry, the heroes of outstanding leadership, laughter, and an absolute blast! Terry Crews #ninenine #brooklynninenine #brooklyn99 #leadership #leadershiplessons #managementskills

I help driven leaders and entrepreneurs build their narratives to create an executive presence, get recognized as trusted leaders, and take their lives and careers to the next level!
Did you catch what happened with Caitlin Clark? This story's too good not to share, and it hits home when talking about authentic leadership. So, here’s what went down: Iowa just decided to retire Caitlin’s number 22 jersey. Yep, while she’s still playing and before she’s even kicked off her WNBA career. Now, retiring a jersey is enormous, right? Schools usually do it as a grand farewell, but Iowa’s stepping up while Caitlin is still around. The crowd lost it—standing ovation and all. But Caitlin? She flipped the script. Instead of just soaking in the applause, she throws it right back, saying, “You've all inspired me as much as I've inspired you.” That’s not just humble; that’s knowing the strength of her community is behind every basket she’s ever made. And that’s where the real lesson is. It’s one thing to be a star player; it’s another to stand there in the full glow of your moment and share it with everyone who got you there. That shows confidence in her skin and a deep-rooted humility that recognizes her journey as part of a larger story. What a way to lead! She’s not just saying thanks. She’s acknowledging that her wins are everyone’s wins. That’s a confident leader for you—someone who doesn’t need to hog all the credit to feel validated. How often do we actually remember to thank those who fuel our successes? Caitlin’s giving us a playbook on how to do it with grace. Now, it's your turn to share. Have you ever experienced a win that was truly a team effort? How did you celebrate that success? I invite you to share your stories in the comments. #CaitlinClark #WomenInBasketball #NCAAW #executivepresence

Reflecting on our leadership day in Charlotte, where we developed strategies for attracting and nurturing talent in the financial planning industry, one powerful realization emerged: a plan without execution is just a plan. To truly succeed personally or professionally, we must not only craft thoughtful plans but also have the discipline and drive to execute them. We will continue to inspire each other to turn our visions into reality. F. Chrys Kanos Patrick Smith Amanda Romano #FinancialPlanning #LeadershipDevelopment
