Why re-apply ? Can't they see from your resume / application what role you fit ?? I dont know how these portals or job boards etc ever get anyone actually hired ! This system is broken people ! Hiring VP's need to take control back from whoever has decided that THIS is the way to attract good people into your organization ! It doesn't work and it pisses your potential employee's off at the same time. You need good external recruiters and a better internal system to smooth this out or your company will eventually be blacklisted by candidates.

Just got this email... "As we have been interviewing candidates for this role, we have made a few changes to the requirements and needs for this role...If you are still looking for a new opportunity, and fit these new requirements, we encourage you to re-apply on our careers page." What??? I will not be re-applying since you don't know what you want before you post for the role. 🙄

They may have rewritten the spec with a specific person in mind, similar to how blind RFPs are often written in favor of a specific vendor. They’re compliant with the process but may not be the organization you want to work for.
