Nigeria as a country is nothing to celebrate.
However, as individuals, Nigerians are worth celebrating.
We have fought and are still fighting all the odds against us.
Some of us are rising from absolutely nothing to something.
Some of us have very little backup and sponsors.
Some of us are just in the game with nothing but talent and wits.
Some of us are carving our names in stones and marbles with just our fingers.
I celebrate the generation of Nigerians that have refused to be defined by the situation we find ourselves.
A generation that is making names for themselves in the global market.
A generation that is intentional about growth and working towards it.
A generation that has refused to accept mediocrity.
In the face of adversities, tribalism, religious clashes and sentiments, we are still a generation united by one cause;
The need to be heard and to be better.
Today's Nigeria is definitely not what we envisioned it will be. 64 years and we are yet to complete baby steps. But individually we're worth the celebration.
So today, I'm celebrating every Nigerian out there especially Nigerian Youths.
We Rock 💪🏻
Happy independence Fellow Nigerians.

Great perspective!
Individually, we are great and will continue to be a better version of ourselves. As a nation, we will rise one day. We are hopeful.
*DAY 1*
*What else are we celebrating today?*🇳🇬
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear partners/Challenge Participants,
Happy New Month and Happy Independence🇳🇬
we begin this challenge by felicitating with our country Nigeria on this special day of hers - of course we are law abiding and patriotic citizens; we love our dear country.
*But did you know that Nigeria doesn't only celebrate independence on 1st October?*
[Of course the answer is not independence -the question above overrides that]
There's another important thing we celebrate on this day too
Do you know?
Tell us in the comments!!
Nigerians are strong.
Nigerians are wise.
As we celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary today, we recognize that our people have endured and survived through many phases of struggle and hardship.
Despite this, Nigerians remain resilient, wise, and full of hope. They work hard and find ways to survive.
Despite our strength, many Nigerians are carried away by passing trends and distractions, while poor governance continues to worsen the hardship.
When will our country be good?
When will the suffering end?
When will our leaders act in the interest of the people?
We keep hoping. Through it all, we remain hopeful for a brighter future for Nigeria.
Pray for Nigeria. 🙏
God bless Nigeria.
God has blessed Nigeria:
"Nigeria's 64th independence anniversary serves as a poignant reminder of our collective resilience. As we commemorate this milestone, we pay tribute to the visionaries who paved our path and the unsung heroes who continue to shape our nation.
May this momentous occasion herald a new dawn of harmony, stability, and shared prosperity. May our rich human resources, natural resources and cultural mosaic become the bedrock of our strength and the catalyst for our advancement.
To fellow Nigerians, both at home and abroad, we acknowledge your unrelenting passion and commitment. May your aspirations for a radiant Nigeria become tangible realities.
As we forge ahead, let us prioritize:
Inclusive governance
Economic empowerment
Institutional fortitude

Intergenerational development
Together, we can craft a Nigeria characterized by:
- Resilience and growth

“All those whose names became historically indelible for and from their work for the good of humanity were laughed at, sabotaged by some of those they thought were with them, made costly sacrifices, bore some most difficult pains, threatened, violently attacked and even killed by the oppressors of humanity for raising their voices, and paid prices for their choices and the responsibilities bestowed upon them by their callings.
It is for these reasons I am using this video message to deeply and sincerely appreciate all those who regardless of the pariah state Nigeria has become still courageously identify with me and my sincere vision, and the resultant call to action encapsulated in the Open Nigeria ideology that I most frankly , strongly and passionately believe is the only way forward to putting Nigeria on the pathway to a genuine nationhood and greatness even though a few driven by fear, mischief and ambivalence think my approach is offensive especially to the savage, insensitive and inhumane few sacred gods whose atrocious disposition on leadership has caused our country and people an unquantifiable tragic human, material and economic loss over a long period of time simply because they believe, though erroneously that Nigeria belongs to them and as such, can destroy it unchallenged.
I am not a politician who tells people the lies they want to hear in order to secure their votes but a revolutionary driven by the truth whose mission is to inspire them to a light that they can deploy to set themselves free from their oppressors including the mostly corrupt and morally bankrupt politicians who align with some rogue high profile traditional rulers, hypocritical religious leaders and the mostly white collar criminals and explorers driving the fraudulent organized private sector who became billionaires and the richest men in Africa via devious insider trading schemes and round tripping that have now made their own country’s economy comatose.
I love you true patriots of Nigeria and soldiers of social justice who openly and courageously identify with me, my message and the ideology of Open Nigeria and I invite all of you sitting on the fence to come down and stand up for Nigeria in your numbers because that’s what our oppressors don’t want to see as it sends a strong message to them about the imminence of their reign of oppression. I have lost a lot of friends, pretenders, exploiters and fear mongers because of my position and I am going to lose some more including some who share blood ties with me, to underscore the seriousness of this mission until the people of Nigeria are fully sensitized to take their country back”.

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Anniversary, it’s a moment to reflect on the nation's journey towards fostering freedom, particularly in the realm of religion and belief. The principles of freedom of religion and peaceful coexistence are key to building a stable and harmonious society.
Organizations like Search For Common Ground Nigeria play a pivotal role in promoting peacebuilding initiatives, encouraging diverse religious communities to live in harmony. This Independence Day, Nigerians are urged to honor the sacrifices of past heroes by working together to create a future where peace, justice, and freedom of belief are guaranteed for all.
By championing these values, Nigeria can continue to grow stronger as a united nation, where diversity in faith and culture becomes a source of strength, rather than division. This Independence Day, let’s commit to upholding these ideals for a brighter, more peaceful future.

What’s there to celebrate?
But we will! And…
As we celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day, we must acknowledge the significant role individual actions play in shaping our nation's destiny. The seemingly small things we do that has become major problems.
While politics has contributed to setbacks, our collective behaviour has equally influenced the government's conduct.
We often prioritize shortcuts over procedure, bypassing queues , disregarding rules and ‘calling someone’ so that we don’t get punished. However, this mindset perpetuates a culture of impunity, which those in power emulate and exacerbate.
To build the Nigeria we desire, we must adopt a culture of integrity. By queuing at the right places, following procedures, and embracing patience (like we do outside the country knowing what the consequences can be), we create a foundation for positive change.
Together, we can forge a brighter future, making every independence celebration a true cause for joy and like Kayode Okikiolu

The real Independence?
My opinion
Nigeria celebrated her 64th Independence celebration two days ago.
Which is cool.
I think the real Independence is personal.
Like...
Have you gained your personal Sovereignty?
Are you free:
- mentally
- emotionally
- financially
- and otherwise?
If your answer is NO,
You're not free yet
Keep fighting.
Are you free from seeking external validation?
If your answer is NO,
You're not free yet
Keep fighting.
Are you living life on your terms?
If your answer is NO,
You're not free yet,
Keep fighting!
Do you have the capacity to think critically and act independently?
If your answer is NO,
You're not free yet,
Keep fighting!
The real Independence is personal sovereignty.
If you're not living life on your terms...
You're not free yet.
So, Keep fighting for your FREEDOM by becoming:
- More Valuable
- Disciplined
- Focused
Stay Sharp!

6moOnly focusing on the negative sides has done us no good. Bad leadership shouldn't be the reason we lose hope.
