We believe in the power of partnership to drive meaningful change at scale! Recently, #PANI held a focused three-day training program for its Supporting Association for Thematic and Holistic Initiatives ( #SATHI ) Partners—bringing together 47 participants from 10 organizations from across Uttar Pradesh, all united by a shared mission of building a sustainable future. Through interactive sessions and participative group activities, representatives introduced themselves and gained deep insights into our ongoing initiatives in climate change, water conservation, and other projects focussed on climate resilient agricultural practices. The sessions were more than just informative—they were a call to action for SATHI partners to drive similar changes in their respective regions. Together we explored the nuances of climate change, the importance of water conservation, and practical strategies to reduce our carbon footprints. The training was a collaborative effort, with group activities, video screenings, and insightful presentations. We discussed everything from the role of agriculture in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to water budgeting and government schemes. By the end, each participant walked away with a clear, actionable plan to drive sustainable change in their communities. Together, we're not just building capacity - we're building a movement. 👏✅💪 State2State has made significant strides in strengthening governance structures across its focus states, enhancing their ability to plan and budget, generate revenues, engage civil society, and oversee service delivery in health; education; and WASH sectors.    📍 In July 2024, we conducted the FY 2025 workplan consultative workshops in Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Gombe, Kebbi, and Sokoto states – bringing key stakeholders to share successes, identify challenges, and lay the groundwork for even stronger interventions in 2025. The story of Pakistan's Orangi Pilot Project (OPP) shows the power of community-driven solutions. Going against conventional top-down approaches, the OPP: - Involved residents in designing low-cost septic tanks (just Rs. 240) they could build themselves - Enabled communities to construct and finance over 7,200 sanitation lanes, investing Rs. 168 million - Trained others to replicate the model across 650+ locations, serving 78,000 households The OPP succeeded because it empowered communities in improving their own living environments. As we strive for sustainable urban solutions, such examples remind us of the potential that lies in participatory local initiatives nurtured through facilitation.
