Innovative Engineer with expertise in cloud architecture, SQL, and Agile practices, driving team success and enterprise modernization.
As my first week of official #jobhunting comes to a close. I've learned a few things. - Companies have yet to adhere to Colorado's new Job Posting legislature that requires both Salary Range and Hiring Timeline to be posted to the Ad. - You have to be very careful when reviewing Remote postings as many of them require weekly in office time in another state. (Looking at you California) - There are not good tools to filter job postings based on necessary Security Clearance - Glassdoor is a *fantastic* tool but must be taken with caution. - Applying to jobs online really is like tossing your resume into the void, which frustrates me in particular. Why have the ability to apply online if you don't even review applicants? All together, good week! I'm refreshed, excited, and looking forward to my next interview.

You might just find some hidden gems who have applied for similar roles and are the perfect fit for this one. -visibility is key! Remember, building trust and confidence goes both ways. Believe it or not, sometimes the most basic steps can make all the difference. Dear Candidates, Have you planned to speak with a recruiter about a job opportunity, but later changed your mind and decided not to pursue it? Please email the recruiter to let them know, or at the very least, decline the calendar invite, so they may use that time to connect with another job seeker, rather than leaving their calls on voicemail. Sincerely, Recruiters Worldwide #recruiterlife #recruitingtrends

#Jobseekers, here's a pro tip for you! After applying for a job, don't forget to DM the recruiter. It helps bring your name to the top of the list and ensures that it doesn't get lost in the growing pile of applications. There is no better method for visibility! ◽ Apply first - be aware of the job salary and requirements - only apply and reach out if both of those things work for you. ◽ Keep your message short and sweet, mentioning that you've applied and express your interest in connecting. ◽ Don't expect a response every time. Recruiters receive hundreds of DMs and have to prioritize reviewing applications and reaching out to qualified candidates. It isn't personal, it's time management. #recruitingtips #jobsearchadvice #recruiter #techjobs
