Hi #I18n LinkedIn! 👋 To all those who work with Japanese or Korean languages. How do you handle line breaks in your translations? I'm specifically looking to group words that need to stay together and ensure they move to the next line properly. This should apply in the TMS and then reflect accurately on the actual source. What’s your tip on solving this? #internationalization

Japanese language Language family: Japanese Spoken in Japan: Japanese (Nihongo) is the official language of Japan, with over 120 million speakers worldwide. Unique language family: It's a language isolate, meaning it doesn't share a close relationship with any other major language family. There are theories about connections to Korean or Austronesian languages, but nothing conclusive. Japanese has three different orthographies with slightly different purposes: Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. Kanji characters were originally loaned from Chinese and like Chinese, one Kanji character relates to one word. Hiragana and Katakana, known collectively as Kana, are phonetic orthographies. Kanji and Hiragana are often combined in writing, whilst Katakana is mainly used in headings, on signs and to spell new loan words. For transcribing Japanese to Western languages Romaji is used, which is the Japanese name for the Latin alphabet. Official language of: Japan Language code ISO 639-1: JA #japaneselanguage #japanese #JapaneseTranslation #Translationservices #translationagency
