The #RejectFinanceBill campaign is gaining momentum, and for good reason. This bill, if passed, threatens to impose regressive taxes that disproportionately impact the most vulnerable in our society while offering little transparency on where the funds will be allocated. Supporting #RejectFinanceBill means standing up for fairness, economic justice, and demanding a more equitable financial system. Let’s join forces to ensure our voices are heard and push for fiscal policies that promote sustainable growth and social welfare, rather than deepening inequality. #EconomicJustice #FairTaxation #SocialEquity

'LPA' stands for 'Lasting Power of Attorney', and there are two types: 🏠 The first is 'property and financial affairs'. A property and financial affairs LPA would be useful if you have to go into hospital, for example, where you might be laid up for a few days and unable to get to the bank, or you might feel too ill to cope with financial matters. 💡 In such situations, your attorney could help by withdrawing cash from the bank and making sure your bills are paid. 🩺 The second covers 'health and welfare'. This type of LPA could be vital to you if the unthinkable happens and you fall victim to something such as dementia, for example - a surprisingly common condition affecting 1 in 5 people over 80, with symptoms that can diminish mental sharpness, affect judgement, and cause memory loss. 💡 With an LPA in place, you’ll have the peace of mind that one of your attorneys can make critical decisions about your health and welfare if you cannot, and support you to remain in your home if you wish to. 💬 For more information about LPAs, get in touch with our friendly but professional team here at Simon Hall Will Writing Services: https://zurl.co/H9Kb #LastingPowerOfAttorney #WillWriting #Devon

As we reflect on this pivotal moment, let's appreciate the enduring impact of policies that prioritize the well-being and dignity of all citizens.

USA Inc.: Running the Federal Government Like a Business Reducing the size of the U.S. federal government is a complex challenge that requires legislative, administrative, and budgetary measures. Running the government like a business offers potential efficiency benefits but faces obstacles due to fundamental differences. Unlike profit-driven businesses, the government prioritizes public welfare and democratic accountability. Adopting select business practices can enhance efficiency without compromising the mission of serving the public good. This approach could reduce the size and cost of the federal government, enabling the creation of a balanced budget and helping to reduce the national debt. #Government #Business #Efficiency #PublicGood

The Takeaway...UBI, Universal basic income, or UBI, is the idea that each citizen would receive an unconditional universal basic payment from the government to help meet their basic needs. This idea has been percolating for centuries. Proponents of the idea suggest that the program would offer stability for residents and could potentially cost less to administer than the current welfare system. Detractors of the idea argue that UBI could lead to inflation and disincentive people from working. Whatever you may think of the merits for and arguments against universal basic income, it’s anyone’s guess whether it will become a reality in the U.S. In the meantime, you could consider reviewing or making your own financial plan. Being more deliberate about how you earn and spend and being sure to put some money aside each month for the future can help you create your own personal financial safety net.

𝕄𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕦𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕀𝕟𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 ℙ𝕠𝕝𝕚𝕔𝕪 𝔼𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 📉 : Understanding the whole picture in policy is vital to making informed decisions, especially by examining failures. As we all know, the private sector generally responds to incentives to maximize profits, not social welfare, making improving incentives difficult. Political failures often arise due to conflicts between society's general interests and the interests of specific individuals, groups, or politicians. The logic behind government failures and market failures is often similar, and 𝙖 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚-𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩.
