Ali Levis, owner/artist of Miss Make Art of Statesville, provided a wonderful opportunity for the CHA Day Treatment students to brighten up their workspace at Northview Academy. The elementary, middle, and high school students enjoyed using their skills and creativity to design and paint a wall mural in the space. What a fun activity for our students!🖌️🎨 #Mural #ArtTherapy #Painting

The painting is a vibrant and color-rich depiction of a forested landscape, presumably representing Black Creek in Chippawa, created by the artist David Drum in 2015. The artwork is characterized by its highly textured and almost abstract use of color, with an array of bright hues that bring the forest scene to life. In this piece, we see a dense assembly of trees with trunks and branches in bold colors like red, purple, blue, and yellow, which stand out against the myriad of green tones that suggest foliage and underbrush. The forest floor is dappled with light and shadow, rendered in an array of colors that could represent the sun filtering through the trees, reflecting off the water, or perhaps the colorful undergrowth of a forest in full bloom. The use of light is particularly striking, with what appears to be rays of sunlight breaking through the canopy, creating a pattern of light and dark on the ground and highlighting certain areas of the forest with bright white and light blue. The overall effect is one of a natural space that is dynamic and full of life, capturing the essence of a walk through the woods where every turn presents a new play of light and color. The brushwork is loose and expressive, giving the painting an energetic and spontaneous feel, with thick applications of paint that add depth and texture. This approach invites the viewer to engage with the painting not just as a representation of a place, but as a sensory experience filled with movement and vitality. #CanadianArt #Art #Canada #Nature #Ontario #Rookleys #Painting #Paint #DavidDrum

*Go to previous post for the complete look* 4/4 A dream come true for ramen lovers, I call it ‘Roomen’. The centerpiece of the room is a giant hotpot sofa, imagine sleeping and being lost in it. It’s a fantastic setting for ramen enthusiasts and the goal is to transport anyone in the room to an unreal dimension. . . . #digitalart #painter #painting #2d #2dart #environment #landscape #study #procreate #procreateart #artoftheday #practice #sketch #sketchbook #sketchoftheday

HOW DID I START PAINTING MURALS ? These days there are unlimited mural artists on Instagram. Every artist wants to paint a mural. They get all confused about what colors to use, how to paint, etc. This post is for the aspiring mural artists. Start small.. Don't get influenced by the huge murals you see on Instagram. When I started painting murals around 5 years back, I used to paint on switch boards, cupboards, doors, etc. Switch boards were my favourite. I used to paint in my hostel rooms. And I have started small. Slowly my skills grew, I started understanding types of walls, different types of supplies, developed my own tips and tricks, and the results are in front of you. Now I paint huge murals without any hesitation, without any special supplies, without any team and without any Costly colors. But all of this started small. So, Don't be afraid and start painting. Start from your own house. Don't be afraid of failing Don't be afraid of messing up Don't be afraid of results not being perfect Just enjoy the process Just learn Just grow Just overcome your fears Just start .. no matter how small Just have fun Don't let Instagram fool you. You don't see the years of practice and learning with just one picture. You don't see the process of growth with one picture. . . . . #murals #muralartist #switchboardart #easywallart #wallpainting #muralpainting #artjourney #artlove #murallove #easyart #easyartwork #artistic_roohja

"Building Operations" by Tom Roberts is a watercolor painting that captures the essence of a construction scene with a sense of immediacy and movement. The artwork features a skeletal wooden structure, likely the framework of a building in the early stages of construction. The use of transparent and opaque watercolor layers creates a sense of depth and texture, and the fluidity of the medium is evident in the painting's loose and expressive brushwork. Several figures are seen actively engaged in work, their postures suggesting movement and physical labor. They are depicted with a degree of abstraction, focusing more on their roles as workers than on individual identities. The dynamic angles of the wooden beams and planks lead the viewer's eye across the composition, emphasizing the geometry and physical effort inherent in the construction process. #CanadianArt #Art #Canada #Nature #Ontario #Rookleys #Painting #Paint

I've been setting aside weekly studio time recently to delve into painting, mainly on paper (feels a lot more chill than canvas). It's become my go-to for testing out new ideas and simply enjoying the process. Here is one from my on-going series, 'Motion'. #inthestudio #marcusmethod #painting
