Over 1,500. That's the number of inquiries we've received, asking to franchise with Pepper Lunch Restaurants in the last 12 months. Many of them were capitalized. Experienced. Raving fans of the brand. And very nice people. But only 35 units were awarded in 2023. 10 units in Arizona 10 units in parts of Florida 5 units in Utah 10 units in Hawaii 35 is no small number on its own. But 4 franchise groups is low for the amount of interest we get. Why is this? Pepper Lunch has spent 30 years building a global brand that customers love and trust. We've been around long enough, opened enough stores (513, as of today), and generate enough cash flow - to be immune to hype cycles or short-term thinking. What matters more to us are: • Multiunit franchisees who see themselves as profitable stewards. And • Being here for a very long time. If you or someone you know fit this description, comment below or send me a DM.

What is the Oldest Franchise that's Still Operating today? Did you know that the oldest franchise still operating today is A&W Restaurants? As a franchise consultant, I find A&W’s story particularly inspiring and a great example of enduring success in the franchise industry. Founded in 1919, A&W started as a simple roadside drink stand in Lodi, California, where Roy W. Allen served a new creamy root beer formula to returning World War I veterans. Just two years later, Allen partnered with Frank Wright, and the brand we know today was born. What makes A&W remarkable is its ability to maintain its nostalgic charm while evolving to meet modern tastes and preferences. They were pioneers of franchising, setting the stage for the business model that many successful chains use today. Here are a few reasons why A&W has stood the test of time: Strong Brand Identity: A&W’s brand is synonymous with classic American dining, evoking a sense of nostalgia with its root beer floats and all-American menu. Adaptability: While they cherish their heritage, A&W has also embraced innovation, updating their menu and services to keep up with contemporary trends and customer demands. Community Focus: A&W franchises are often locally owned and operated, fostering a strong connection with their communities. This local focus helps build customer loyalty and a personalized dining experience. A&W’s story is a testament to the power of a strong brand, community connection, and the ability to adapt and innovate. If you're considering entering the franchise world, A&W's journey offers valuable lessons on longevity and success. Have you ever visited an A&W? Share your experiences and thoughts about this iconic franchise!

Age is just a number... The founder of KFC was a loser until he was 65, he had no money, he borrowed $87 and started making fried chicken wings. He failed 1,009 times before he was able to sell his first franchise. By age 88, he became a billionaire. KFC (also commonly referred to by its historical name Kentucky Fried Chicken) was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders, an entrepreneur who began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky, during the Great Depression. Sanders identified the potential of restaurant franchising, and the first "Kentucky Fried Chicken" franchise opened in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1952. KFC popularized chicken in the fast-food industry, diversifying the market by challenging the established dominance of the hamburger. Branding himself "Colonel Sanders", the founder became a prominent figure of American cultural history, and his image remains widely used in KFC advertising. The company's rapid expansion made it too large for Sanders to manage, so in 1964 he sold the company to a group of investors led by John Y. Brown Jr. and Jack C. Massey. 3i Industrial-Solutions #businessinsights #businessanalysis #inspiringleadership #inspiringstories #inspiringpeople
